So this Part in particular is kind of important to me because that’s my father the bus driver at the five minute marker. He was also in another scene when the Naples firefighters were standing in for the firefighters of the day and my father was in the background. Apparently they needed an extra for the scene and my dad got pulled into it so being a fire fighter and got them on screen. He said instead of becoming an elementary school teacher he should’ve stayed in Hollywood this was his big break
Probably not much. The thing I didn't like about this movie was that they took too much license to re-write history and depicted things that weren't actual fact.
@@lwmson Actually, a lot of it has been remarkably accurate up to this point. I haven't seen the rest but if what I've seen is any indication, it's one of the best I've seen in terms of accuracy. So much of the dialogue is word for word what's been recorded of King, Coretta, and even the phone call from JFK was accurate. As for historical events Rosa Parks, the bus boycott, the bombing of MLK's house, him almost dying from stabbing, and being arrested and sentenced to hard labor are all accurately depicted. I'll admit, that Oval Office scene is hard to swallow, but so far that's the only real instance where it seems to stray, but then again, we don't know for sure. One thing I'm not particularly fond of is the series using fictional character where real life people would've been better suited. Aside from that, this is still a very accurate and authentic look into the life of MLK.
To get any thing in this world you have to be a pain in the ass that will make them do what you want to get you to stop but the more you do they will have to give up because you are not going to give up to and they need your vote more than any thing else that is your power over them
the stress on dr. king was outrages....his autopsy revealed he had the heart an 80 year old person at 39 years old
I thought they said he had the heart of a 60 year old.
@@praisebrown6113yes a 60 year old not 80 year old
Rip Ozzie Paul Ciely
Who was that guy "Harrison," portrayed by Roscoe Lee Browne ?

5:00-6:22 is a really fucked up scene! lol
I wonder how accurate that exchange in the White House is to reality

"Politically expedient." I like that term.
It was applied many times to white liberals, particularly during the 60's
Judgment day racist will be done.
