At my place of work we're encouraged to use the jiggers as free pouring is illegal in Australia. I know a 6 pour is roughly 2oz or 60cl but for the people watching who want to write the recipe perhaps you'd translate for them. When I first started I certainly wouldn't have known.

Any drink with sweet and sour in it gets shaken. Soda is added last so not to kill the carbonation. If the drink is floated with something - in this instance, Wild Cherry Brandy - whatever the drink is floated with comes after the soda. A better cheat to remember is, "Good Sweet Girls Sip Wild Cherry Brandy."

Yes, definitely use jiggers if required by law...and I teach 1/4 oz per count, 6 count is 1 1/2 oz.

If the team uses SS, and we have enought CC, it is GG.

The classic recipe with Benedictine and Cherry Herring is MUCH better.

Yeah, yeah...building order. 15 yrs behind a bar...you know how many times a customer has even mentioned building order? Zero, zip, nada. 15 yrs. NEVER ONCE. What does nearly EVERY PERSON in the world do when they get a cocktail? Stir it. Ha. What does this mean? "Building order" doesn't matter, really. Make it pretty because you want to, or because they're cute and you want their number. But as a customer, just give me a damn cocktail QUICKLY, and make it as STRONG as you can pour it. Thanks :)

Blah, blah, blah, everyone always complains about the quick and dirty...hate to tell you but this IS the cheap dirty version of the singapore sling...if people have this on a menu at their bar the establishment will show you how you want it made...if not, you'll never make one. But I agree, don't waste your time memorizing this drink, you'll probably never make it.
