    By law, all mines must make provision (enough capital money) to rehabilitate the surface to be left as before mining took place.
    It is clear that this was done also at this shaft. It was properly sealed and then broken open. All minerals underground are state property. Even a borehole for water has to be registered.

    If you are underground in a mine without the owner's permission, what are you but an illegal miner. Those people didn't go down there to hold a church service? We cannot be politically correct when we have to call a spade a space. Trespassing is also a criminal offense.

    I think the 1 that said it should be legalized doesn't have a clue about underground mining. If it was on river beds or on the surface or and belongs to the government, maybe. But not underground.
