Think I got it: Par from 100yd: 2.8 shots Remaining par after shot (8ft): 1.5 shots Equation: 2.8 (starting) - 1.5 (remaining) minus 1* = 0.3 strokes gained. *Subtract 1 from par difference pre-shot & post-shot to determine SG.
Great for scratch player, what about for a handicap golfer. In stableford scoring if have a 3 point hole where others have a 2 point, then you have gained 1 point against field.
@@scottfawcett3290 one more thing I have been a user of Decade since 2017ish. TD Luten introduced me. You use to have clip on there I loved and you took down since updating the APP. It was about being aggressive and shooting a pins . It may have been an article. I just remember it was a hairy ape hand grabbing a driver. Would you ever consider putting that back on Scott’s Desk? I think it provided a lot of value.( for me at least)
This is actually remarkably helpful. This could be an brilliant series if you continue to explain terms like this.
Two perfectly worked examples of SG, simple enough that anyone should be able to get to grips with it. Well done!
"8 foot putt probably send me into orbit" haha so damn funny. we love you Scott.
Finally a great explanation! Thanks!

Is that the putter grip shot?
Lol...I don’t think it was because it was full. I tried to look and I think you can see me interlocked.

@@BooksareDope I don't remember that one...unless the hairy Ape was me! Any other memory of what was in the video?
