Therefore I hope to surprise you with my realisation about this omnious piece. Few years ago I deeply understood and discovered another layer of meaning in this song. You see, Magik used to smoke marihuana a lot and he suffered from severe schizophrenia. He was a very intelligent man and the way he used language in his art is astonnishing. I have realized what he has hidden in that song only because that day I smoked some zaza too, which actually made me capable of understanding that there is also an another, terrifying, psychodelic layer in this song. The idea of "plus and minus" in it is not only about the medical test results. It is also about Magik's fear of the dualism of the reality itself. Magik is frightened because he has understood, that in our world each quality ends on two extremely opposite states. Plus and Minus. Love and Hate. Light and Dark. Sadness and Joy. Life and Death. He has a paranoia about it. He is terrified, because since he realised that, he sees it all the time, he can't stop thinking about it. That's the only thing he lives with. You can even hear that in the beat itself - the bass and the melody go only up and down. Up and Down... Plus and Minus. It's everywhere. He would do anything for it to stop, but he can't escape it since he's the integral part of that reality. Those thoughts won't leave him, because the very structure of his mind is impregnated with dualism, which scares him even more. Heavy shit when you finally see this. And it's not the only song in which he made such a psychodelic metaphore. The most intense is hidden in "Jestem Bogiem" which literally means "I'm God". Most of the people focus on down to earth meaning of this song, where Magik and the crew basically sing about themselves, their lives and fulfilling as rappers. But I came to realise he also sings about his psychodelic trauma of realising he lives as Gods consciousness in a form of human born from the Universe matter. Lines like "I am God, realise that, you hear words that make your hair stand on end. Oh my, oh my I am unstopable, to the hip hop completely devoted, screwed. The unlimited potential, I guess it was given to me in my DNA" are meant to be understood directly. He realises he is an alive, conscious creature in an obsucre reality in which things defining him had started happening before he was even born. The DNA forming on a molecular level already predetermining his life as a rapper. The information in which his soul was carried and transfered into his forming body. He's screwed cause he was meant to be born and he couldn't do anything about it. He and his imagination are unbound and infinite. He really means that when he says "I am God" and lliterally calls you to hear that - "I am God. Realise that. You are God as well. Just imagine that." So many of his texts have those well hidden layers about the psychodelic character of reality. That's the true genius and the tragedy of Magik right there. I believe that through psychodelic drugs abuse his mind has seen things Magik couldn't handle and unsee, so eventually the unbearable paranoid schizophrenia drove him to suicide. If you play it reverced you will hear another version of the same story, but more deep and dark, some of these words was prorocy for the autor, parts of theme are saying more about suicide of autor....
