I enjoy watching your videos concerning locs. My sister locs were installed in March 2000. My hair was less than 4 inches. My hair grew in length pass my hips. I usually wore my locs up. So in November 2023, I went through chemo. My locs were braided and I always wore a scarf around the edges. I I went to lift my scarf while looking in the mirror. All my edges were gone. I had to cut my locs because they were braided in big braids from the last time I washed them. They were barely hanging on in some places. But I had a lot of new growth. I remember you were talking about not braiding or pulling your hair to tight. I wish I saw some of your videos then before chemo. You give great advice.
Just discovered you… I am realizing I moved to swift . I am scheduled to start loc journey in the morning. Previously I was loc’d for 7 years. I stopped journey due to thinning. I am ready to start again but think I need to do sister or micro. I didn’t ask a lot of questions in my consultation and now I am hesitant. I appreciate this video. I may need to pause this process. And, I need to get someone that can recommend what I need to do . I am going thru menopause and I work out a lot(sweat so much) . Needless to say I’m worried that coils may not work this time around. You have me a lot to ponder. Thanks for making this video.
I definitely didn't know the difference between mature sisterlocs and microlocs (actually I still can't tell the difference 😅) . I gave my loctician a picture of how I wanted mine to end up looking, and she said those are sisterlocs... But I think that's why my two strand twists microlocs are so small and always get mistaken for sisterlocs 😊❤
I have a question. Is it true that the first payment should include the 1st retie? I understand there is 3 parts: Consultation Establishment First retie. Thank you for your time.
That's the case for sisterlocks, where it comes in a package of three services (consultation, establishment, and follow up appt). I say follow up appt because some consultants don't do a full retie on the follow up... more like assessment. Some consultants may have one pay the full amount and all three services are included, some may break it up where you don't pay full amount and you just pay per service. It really depends on the consultant's process.

Being that I really want sisterlocks, I am not running. lol I did my homework and communicated verbally and physically with some of her clients, I gonna continue on with this journey.
