I'm from Philippines, a country rich of delicious tropical fruits. Due to my Type 2 diabetes, I was deprived by these fruits until my Angel Cyrus reversed my diet. I've been taking Meds for my T2 Diabetes for 4 years and I tried high protein low carbs diet but I felt so low in energy. Now, I am happy with my whole plant based diet and have abandoned my meds including hypertension medicines that i was continuously taking for 8 years. Now my blood sugar and blood pressure is always normal without meds and been eating unlimited fruits and vegetables. Thanks Sir Cyrus, you've made my life back to normal again. You are God send to me.

I think I'm fairly well educated on carbs since I've heard so much from Drs. Barnard, Esselstyn, Mills, and others, but I learned some stuff today. Thanks to both of you!

I prepare quinoa, lentils in a glass dish in a small oven with water at 350... as soon as the quinoa expands I turn off the heat which is roughly 15 minutes. Same for lentils...once it absorbs and expands I turn off the heat.
Info Cyrus gave on preparing with water and lower heat is GREATLY appreciated.....preparation method i definitely utilize already....makes a huge difference......thank you.

Hydrogenated Fats have been outlawed in the US several years ago, so you won't find any products on the shelves with it here. So, transfats are a non-issue.
Unsaturated fats are health supportive in moderate amounts, as long as the diet is whole foods based. That's what Dr. Fuhrman says and I believe his research.

I'm not sure where did I get this, but from what I know,
trans-fat is produced in high temperature processed seeds / plant oil while trying to extract as much as possible all the oil from the plant source.
Trans-fat will never be produced in minimal food processing e.g. cold pressed extra virgin olive oil.

many other options for pasts now and the old school pastas can have dairy if you read labels. Brown rice is a protein eaten by the Chinese culture for thousands of years

Are there randomized control trials that show saturated fat causes insulin resistance?
One can become desensitized by Insulin, a hormone, by having too much insulin in the body can make you too resistant, saturated fat doesn’t increase insulin.
I’m not sure about omega 6 and its role, but I’ve heard some speculation. Then I’ve seen rat studies that show emf can decrease insulin sensitivity and that sunlight can improve it. But so far I have not seen any good science that saturated fat causes it.
