I’m definitely a veteran for this game, knowing almost all of the ins and outs one possibly can with over 650hrs. I gotta say, despite me knowing all this and having my own preferences for all of this, I really appreciate the consistent content and am always happy to watch your videos. We got a lot of good Starfield news updates today and this is all just a really good sign of things to come.

I am currently surveying every planet I end up landing on, which makes several of the science skills a lot more useful. Differing play styles and all that. I would also say that anyone that finds the temples annoying (like I used to) might want to invest in gymnastics (rank 2). The speed increase in zero-g seemed pretty noticeable to me and made the temples much easier/quicker. YMMV of course....

Thx for going thru all of them. I'm sure it took a long time, but it's very helpful for us as we can return here and reference as needed. Thx!

About the only one I'd argue where you're off target is Research Methods which I would say if D or even F tier if you just want to research Weapon Engineering. It will save you a lot of materials but, as you've said, you can buy the materials from shops and money isn't that hard to come by if you're raiding Ecliptic and Spacer POI's and looting their weapons and suits.

That is a fair point, maybe I'm just really attached to my adhesive. It sucks to run out of that.

Planetary habitation is actually worth getting if you're going to get your outposts doing automated production, because Porrima III is the only planet where you can produce polytextiles without an interplanetary supply chain, and it requires Hab IV

Not sure if this is true but unless u play as a thief i dont think u should even get Stealth but if u do then lvl 1 at most. I have seen ppl saying that u should unequip your spacesuit while indoors becouse even if u hide it in the settings it still effects your ability to sneak around as the suit makes alot of noice. I have seen ppl doing deepdive comparisson and even with Stealth lvl4 it is borderline impossable to stay hidden. The only benefit u want out of that skill is the sneak attack multiplier becouse u dont need Sneak to get around. There are alot of places u shouldent be allowed into but the NPCs dont care, hell not even the security ppl care that u run around in there back rooms so Sneak itself is useless becouse if u wanna steal shit u dont need Sneak to successfully do it.

I think you may have underrated the jet pack training perk, the tier 4 skill is a game changer. Good video overall though thank you

Y'all scanning is literally one of the best things ever especially fully scanning planets it is the quickest and easiest way to become rich I spent literally just 3 hours scanning a few systems and made over 200k I'm sure there are better ways to make money but it's simple and an easy thing to do if you are high and wanna just chill.

    My thoughts, ill keep typing:
    ●Physical
    *Unarmed.
is lacking, in perk and in game.
Needs a power fist in game that stacks unarmed and melee like the big bang and Va runn type weapons.
    Easy:
Gloves that people can wear under the suit to give either a wrist computer to buff other stuff, or actual gloves to boost melee damage.
    Power fists above suit to
    *Fitness.
Great early perk to level to get to the bottom perks.
Need something to hold you over between "shouts/this games "powers" " or you use more than 1 power for combat.
    *sneek perk
Actually pretty good. Makes 1st shot from a weapon with a suppressor do extra damage automatically.
Low sneek sucks, but high level is good
Lv 1 sneek really should be included without a perk, weird decision.
    * weight lifting
Very helpful early game and a good selection for later perks.
1 is mid but 4 is great.
    100% agree Stagger sucks.
    *wellness
Agreed, More health is strong. Great.
    * less energy damage
LuL usless perk skip it. Too weak Wellness is better.
    *environmental conditioning
Cute but too weak. Skip it. Agreed was swimming in meds.
    *gymnastics.
Call of duty slide. Cool but worthless. Feel free to skip. Buff it.
    *Nutrition
Some effects are okey. Waste a precious slot?
Nah. Can skip if you arnt gonna deal with food.
If it comes with your background?
    Could milk it.
If effects and healing was buffed and a survival was in a later patch, sure.
Could do worse and has some utility later on with mod/dlc power creep.
Needs to stack food to be relevant.
    * pain tolerance
Damage reduction, it's okey but better selections exist to compete with your very limited perk slots.
I think there is a Damage reduction cap so that kinda helps if you might be into some weaker suits but hurts it if dlc power creep or you use later suits.
    Agree wellness is better.
    *Cell regeneration
Meh. Medicine is better. Skip. Needs buff.
    *Decontamination
    Lul filler. Skip
    *Martial arts
Kinda cool for melee and unarmed.
    Skip for now.
    *Late stealth
    Great for sneek builds/Delete things.
    Late.
    *nerosrike
Cool for unarmed but sadly unarmed is worthless. Skip
Now if we had a power fist weapon...👀
Damn i loved the powerfist from fallout 4
    *regeneration
    Fantastic.
The reason you go for the bottom of physical tree of perks other than stealth.
Great late game but it takes forever to get so pretty much Post game when its sorta a quality of life/ almost done 100% 🤷‍♂️
    ●Social
    *Commerce
Great early game to get grinding snowball and ships yeah it helped a lot there.
    *Gastro
    Recipes. LUL. Skip it.
Needs something OP. Can buy XP or other food.
    *persuade
Put 1 point in here for easier skips.
Speech checks are a save and reset so ymmv on that.
    *scavenger
Very nice to not have to buy everything.
Skip 4 untill u need it.
    *pickpocket
Nice even just 1 point. Helps for missions.
    *Deception
    Kinda useless.
Wish you could get full immunity for contraband.
    *diplomacy
    1 point or more.
    *intimidate perk
    1 point or more
    *Bribe perk
    Helpful.
1 point or more Bribes are not too costly so worth ptw.
    *isolation.
Made for NG+ / people who dislike the allies.
Hate BGS limited allies? Gonna skip them?
Stealth build? Yeah this tree is great.
Companions are better for crew members on a ship / base.
    *Instigation
    Fun perk i agree.
    *leadership
Better companions and when dlc and eventually mods come out for tactical movement then yeah.
    *outpost.
Put points into it if you are gonna outpost grind.
Skip for late game/NG+ if not.
    *Manipulate perk
Cool perk. 100% agree 1st run Do the Ryu line to get it 4 free.
Can cheese command a shop owner to gtfo outta store and you can mass loot a store while sneeking / no one else is there to jump start NG+
    *Ship command
    For the chunker stronger ships.
Will be more powerful on PC / later patches with fan made companions and modding of when BGS get to it.
Nice quality of life but not necessarily needed atm.
    *zeno social
    Pretty forgettable.
    ●Combat
    *Ballistic
    Nice early game.
    Can stack on partical guns
    Most guns are strangely.
    *dueling
Melee build. Better in later patches.
    Not now!😄
    *Lasers
    Good.
Makes cutter into top tier Sponge melter.
Hell any NG+ run will appreciate it.
Yeah it works with bullet gun perk to make partical guns OP.
    *Pistol cert.
Nice but ehhh, if you want to for flavor.
    *shotgun cert
Shotguns dont suck in this game.
    Very useful.
Valid build so you can speed up the game.
Dose it power up the hornet coachman i wonder...
    *demo perks.
    Nifty.
    *heavy weapons
Cutter / mag storm / minigun.
    Can skip. Useable
    *em perk.
    Not needed. Can skip.
    *rifle cert
    Rifles are very good.
    Agreed.
    *marksmanship
    Great for semi auto.
Use semi auto rifle with scope to shread at distance. Rifles with scopes and suppressor can be nutty.
    *partical beams
    Late game / NG+
    Worth it. Stupidity ludicrous DPS.
    *rapid reloading
Nice. But competition so okey backfill.
    *sniper cert.
    Scope stacking shenanigans.
    Very very good.
    *targeting
Hip fire perk. Can skip i agree.
    *Armor piercing perk
    Nice bonus i agree.
    *crippling
Okey for backfill perks but not needed 1st run.
    *Sharpshooter
    Stronger weapons are good

lol say you've never fully catalogued a planet without saying you've never catalogued a planet. I can understand bio in D tier (well 1 point in it is MANDATORY for Amp production etc) as plants don't move around and are rather plentiful in biomes. Not like creatures. Zoology is SO MUCH more useful than bio (still 1 point is mandatory for outpost stuff) as creatures move around (some only live in the oceans which aren't really on the map, some only come out at certain times, under certain conditions) the fact you put this in D tier is just...
This tier list overall is just confusing, is it just for your play style, is it for multiple playstyles? You put some melee skills in S tier cuz it may be S-tier to some and many in F-tier cuz it's not useful to you. Meh your explanations work, but the consistency displayed in the list is all over the place lol. I'd bump scanning a few tiers as well... but it feels like you ignore outpost management almost entirely and just buy your supplies.
Thanks for your viewpoint on these reguardless, I really liked your gun analysis!

Some might say your under-rating commerce, I say your OVER-rating it. Sure it helps when buying ships/ 10,000$ parts etc... but it takes FOUR levels of skill points! Invest these in something better EVERY SINGLE TIME and you can EASILY make those 10k credits very very quickly, with the time you'd saved say not dieing or killing faster you actually have more time to accrue those credits so most likely you GOT those credits YESTERDAY, ahead of time! All because you did not invest in that stupid commerce skill!
It is one of those skills, like medicine, that gets you extra dialog choices though that I believe may help in an occasion or two... so it may behoove you to get a single point into it.
up until a few days ago I thought you couldn't use turrets unless you had 1 pt in automatic weapons. But I just put a ship together with turrets and noticed I don't even have auto weapons skill! Wonder if that was ever the case...
