Subscribed! I've been dogged by a problem lately that makes sense now that I've seen it. I recently upgraded the IDE to ver. 1.8.9 on Linux. Until that point I was able to upload to my nano clones using the Genuino Uno settings, although for whatever reason, selecting Nano did not work. Watching this video, I got the idea to look at the bootloader and found a new option to use the "old bootloader." Selecting that, along with "Arduino as ISP" under Programmer and now everything works as expected. Thanks for the guidance!

I ordered an Arduino uno(no small or smd version) supposed to be genuine.
I need to use A4 input to read voltage or use Ina219 to read current sense.
Regardless I do, I have no answer if I use a4 input. If I measure with a voltmeter A4 and Gnd I'll read 5volts.
I am able to upload code.
Is this a bad board? A4 shouldn't be present 5 volts I think.

And whenever I try to upload my sketch it shows "programmer not responding" and there is nothing connected to tx1 and rx1 pins. What's the issue here and how can I solve it sir? And also when i choose the board type as "nano w atmega328p (old bootloader)" it shows check board type.

Hi, after run through problem #4, it says - after i've uploaded both the UNO and the NANo the ArduinoISP - that everything is okay.
However after that, when i try to upload the 'blink' program to the nano, it says it uploaded it, but it did not work. I tried other programs, or changing the blink to output the led to pin 9, but its just won't work.
    The output is this:
    Reading | ################################################## | 100% 0.31s
    avrdude: verifying ...
avrdude: 2146 bytes of flash verified
    avrdude done. Thank you.
    What can be the problem?

    Hi there
    I don't have a UNO, so I couldn't do the bootloader step.
My Win 11 shows my Nano clone on COM 3, CH341 is installed, baud-rate: 9600
I've tried to make the Nano blink using the example in Arduino IDE 2.1.0 (also 1.8.19).
    Board: Arduino Nano
    Port: COM3
    Processor: ATmega328P (ATmega328P old)
    What I see is:
    Using Port : COM3
    Using Programmer : arduino
    Overriding Baud Rate : 115200
    avrdude: ser_open(): can't set com-state for "\\.\COM3"
    avrdude done. Thank you.
Fehlgeschlagenes Hochladen: Hochladefehler: exit status 1
    I've used four cables.
    Any advice? Thanks in advance

I didn't flash anything/installed the CH340C drivers cause they got recognized as soon as i plugged them in my computer.
Also i'm sure my pots are okay i tested with a multimeter, maybe bad AliExpress wires or just the board itself having problems

    Error while burning bootloader.
    avrdude: Yikes! Invalid device signature.
Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override this check.

Would be nice if there would be an Arduino board identification that worked with all boards. Unknown 1A86 is what I receive.

yes, seems intresting, let's see if something like this comes up

@@mission_critical It was a pain trying to figure out what I received for operating a stepper motor for tracking celestial objects. With what seems countless possibilities of which device it was getting to be a pain for checking what's loaded and what separate electronics and their wiring it had.

    • @mission_critical
      @mission_critical  4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@nightwaves3203 there is a code called as I2C scanner, use that and comment every device or may be define them as variables

I guess you need to close " serial port " and disconnect any circuit connected,
