Interesting as I received what appears to be a copy of the arduino R3 board. All that’s printed on it is UNO R3. It looks very much the same as the Geekcredit board you’ve got here in the video. I got it for free from a neighbour so I guess I can’t complain. It also came with a small what appears to be a touch screen and possibly Wi-Fi unit as well. However I have absolutely NO clue as to how and where to get started with this thing in getting it up and running.. I am an utter newbie to this type of thing. I’m 44 and would like to learn something new.
"Fake" and "Clone" doesn't mean the same. Fake try to fool people to think that it is the original product. Clone doesn't try to fool you, it's just a product that has almost the same features as the original product. I think Clones are OK and fakes Bad.
what i like about the Arduino company, is that they make all of their product open source, so you don't have to buy the original expensive one, and it is not illegal or immoral to buy the cheap copy.
You can just buy any arduino design board it really doesn't matter. Just as a suggestion, buy a cheap board insteard of one that "looks more like the original" the Uno R3 are quite neat.@@Lighter7900music
Just a heads-up, the genuine Uno also has a second quartz, it's just way smaller. Usually, you have the large one for USB since it has to be pretty accurate, while the smaller one is used for the less critical CPU clock. In that regard, the clone - as long as the quartz has the level of quality of the one on the genuine board - could actually considered to be 'better', though it doesn't really make a difference.
None of them are original what you’ve presented here in your video. One is direct counterfeit and other is clone with smd atmega328 ( square shaped ). Original Arduino uno is in Arduino teal colour ( dark turquoise colour) with trade mark sign with R in a circle. The pins are defined on the female headers attached with the Arduino board and headers quality is better than the others. Counterfeit board has same colour as the clone one. They’re both dark blue. There’s a code ( A000066 ) for original Arduino uno which is found on Arduino uno packaging box.
Would have loved to watch this video. But the fact that you are frenetically waving these around gave me a headache! Next time maybe just lay them down!
But have you seen that the original Uno version does not blink like the clone, even when I load the blink sketch. I will try the next time I reuse it with a led on the pwm pin contemplated in the code and if I want I can change it . Let me know . Thank you very much .
Actually, both are Cloned Boards, where the 2nd one being a better clone, you can easily distinguish it by looking carefully at the Arduino Logo, & also the Original Arduino Board is of Teal Color...
Pointing Electronics parts with a Pencil, irritates me so much... The graphite can cause sort-circuit...!!! Also Original Uno has also second oscillator, That is very tiny SMD part beside the MC...
That arduino uno board which you said original is also clone one. you have two clone arduino board. you have to study more about Arduino board. thank you.
Yes you can. Some of us want to know if they actually preform as well as the original but they seem lousy on showing us this, unlike the teensy vs ardunio board by some European fella. I guess for us who want to know if they work as well it must simply be a case of the electronics being so fine its a case of it'll work or not at all and on the level they most likely do. But they have slow clocks and Im picking the faster clock speeds will reveal any weakness in impurities. And beware of the "delay" BS with arduino, it wont do anything else when delaying. And if you want to adjust frequencies dont waste your time like I did trying to reprograme - just get a signal generator where you just turn the good ole knob!
This is an incorrect comparison because the Geekcreit board your showing is based on the Arduino Mega 2560. I researched and yes on the website you mentioned (banggood) it is called the Uno r3. But you as a reviewer/comparer should have noticed this. I think the GeekCreit Mega 2560 is a very good replacement for an Arduino Mega 2560 since it is £4 - £7 which is considerably cheaper than the £33 Arduino Mega 2560.
WHY would you pay $50 rather than $6 for basically the same board. Thanks for the info as I WAS looking at buying the Arduino I could buy 8 to 10 of the cheaper. Bargain.
I dont think we can call these "fake" board(witch i agree they are)... "rip off" . .. arduino is kinda open source so its not a steal. Btw I bought the arduino and the copy wavgat (same board as this video) But still its a proof for us these companie still have none creativity to make money than just copying others xD

This "gay credit board" looks like a decent alternative.
Technically, both are clone. Original one is blue-green color

It’s open source hardware. I think that’s legal as long as it does not use the ‘arduino’ name. Just saying.
In Asia no trade mark, you can put any name , it's legal
Do they have the same functionality and compatibility as the Arduino UNO Rev3?

So far the the best arduino uno clone is Maker UNO
Both are clone probably because the colour is green or some green shade in the original one
Can you shake the damn thing more infront of the camera please?

6$-7$ here is the Philippines
