Wow. 😮 Fantastic detective work! 🕵️ I really wonder how widespread this kind of thing is. I mean both of these are fairly well known companies in the audio community but they're generally better known for their cables rather than their iems. In fact, it's pretty rare to find video reviews of their sets except for a few reviewers. I do think it would be more difficult not to be quickly called out if, for instance, it was a collab set or from a company that received more release attention (Moondrop, Simgot, Kiwi Ears, etc.). Anyway, thank you for bringing it to everyone's attention! 🙏
Nice review , now I have the IVIPQ's in my cart....should I, do I reaaly need another set. Just got the Penon Fan 3 and the Sivga Que two weeks ago. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Always enjoy your content.
Thank you for having the fortitude to call these things out. Your honesty is greatly appreciated. I picked up the Conch on the 11.11 sale for $17.00 dollars, only catch is it’s the TRN Conch 😂. Speaking of value for dollars spent I think I nailed it! 😂
XINHS is one of ivipQ's sub brands which explains the similarity. I recall knowing it from a review on one of their cables on AliExpress which ivipQ replied saying that. Another sub brand of ivipQ is ZiSin although that brand only sells cable so far.
Tony also said IVIPQ 100 was exactly like another brand, can't remember the 2nd brand but Ivipq was cheaper. Sleeper set at $36 but was on sale without cable for $11 early this year. Had it in my cart and totally forgot, have been waiting for that price ever since. I am a sucker for those $11 gems 😎
On a different note, the variance within sets in chifi is sometimes enough to make it a different tuning and exactly like another set using the same driver. You never know what you're gonna get. Lol. Part of the the fun?! 🤣 My brother has a Waner from when it first hit, I thought it was overhyped and didn't care for how bass lite it was.. Since my tastes expanded I bought my own set around Spring 2024 and still didn't like it. I didn't a/b them so I couldn't tell ya if they sounded different but this set was very shouty and definitely bass light. I just saw a Squig for someone who had 4 sets. Sets 1 and 3 were close enough, but sets 2 and 4 were completely different. Set 2 had significantly more bass and a milder pinna rise. That's a tuning I would enjoy! Just another reason to take all reviews with a grain of salt and to trust our own ears!
@@someoneusaI rewatched Tony's ivipq v13 review. He said, "The iVIPQ 100 was a KiwiEars Cadenza brother from another mother , but unfortunately it never got the same popularity of the Cadenza". And that the ivipq v13 could pass as left or right channel of the Kiwi Ears Quartet but gave ivipq more props because they were "transparent with the driver set up, not claiming any fancy solobaric technology and other gimmicks, tells me it's the sensible choice if you are deciding between the two" .
@@_-Z- ah yes Tony hates when there is a lack of transparency. He's right. I don't think the Cadenza was the set I was thinking of. The 100 was one of the comps he used. I may have to find it. This is when timestamps would be useful. Lol.
I did buy those for $11, money well spent. They are very close to rhe Cadenza in sound and shape except that the IVIPQ's are a little nicer shell shape and color.
ironically, these two companies are known for their cables as opposed to their IEMs. I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see more companies doing this, but that doesn't downplay that is a TERRIBLE look for Xinha
@@t.dsmith8619 And I really like their cables and thought the HS01 was well worth the price. But, I literally cannot tell the sets apart. Therefore, I had to call Xinhs out. ivipQ ain’t perfect either. Their sets are hit or miss for sure, but you don’t see them pulling this kinda crap. At least i don’t think…
That's how "OEM" works. Same as Pula and Myer-Audio. Same as with DACs, computer/gaming mice, keyboards, mousepads. Wouldn't call it "terrible look for Xinhs" more so peak China. The only scummy this is the pricing and how inflated it is but egh, again, its everywhere and its China. Its not about morals there but what brings $.
@@3ildcard I totally get that. I have no problem with companies sharing tech. You mentioned Myer and Pula - they are doing it the right way. Driver configs are comparably priced. The issue for me is the price difference here is egregious. And it should be called out. We are talking almost $100 difference for the same set. And the less expensive one has the tuning switches and modular cable! I just thought it was worth pointing out to folks. Had they not sounded and graphed exactly the same, I probably would have let it go.
@@BassDad8 And i totally agree and respect that. But as i said, China is China and nothing will change that. All we can hope for is video likes yours reach out to more people.
@ agreed and I hope so too. I’ve been pretty unforgiving to the shenanigans that I’m aware of. Shadow revisions, blatant false advertising, bad customer service, etc. Stuff like this is harder to catch. I’m just glad my buddy had one set and I had the other, and that I actually paid attention to a Reddit post months ago and bought the IEC711. The ability to measure definitely is definitely helpful at times. Not all the time, but mostly… ☮️
Could you give a recommendation between Butterfly 61T and Celest Relentless if both priced at 100$ ? (no fitment issue for 61t) Is juzear an overall Tech/res wise upgrade over the relentless and whats the difference between the two ? 🙏
@@mrigankadeyMD I would say that the 61t is a step up in techs over the Relentless, along with being a more balanced set overall. My problem was with the pressure build up. I didn’t like the sonics with the Tang Sancai ear tips, so that was not a good solution for me. But is the 61t a pretty clear upgrade over the relentless? Yes. I wish I’d been better able to tolerate them.
Another review already! Woot! Wait so the cheaper one has a modular cable and tuning switches? Why pay more?
