- The Luxulyan valley has a bit of everything, industrial history, woodland, a beautiful river and views. Walking around here was so peaceful and very quiet. Easily accessible for most as the path is very good. There is no phone signal in the valley but follow the main footpaths and you'll find all the interesting sites.
There is a free car park near the Treffry viaduct, postcode, PL26 8YE.
Great walk, Char, with different stations. I liked your climbing on the drive shaft the best. I thought at that moment to now you make a double Viktory ✌🏻✌🏻 I've seen it with you before 😉

Keep these coming, I'm racking up places to visit in my campervan👍❤ I see some amazing watermills and abandoned places in Sweden in July/August, just gearing up for another adventure, now school holidays are over. This looks a good one to visit.

Looked a lovely walk through the woodland under the viaduct, did you find your way back ok, trying to figure out what that axle was for, maybe some sort of pulley system, you have a very nice running style, could be a good runner, interesting vid, thanks 👍

Surely it was the axle for a large overshot waterwheel? The water would have come down the chute Char had pointed out just before.
