I really appreciated this! I’m going on the exact same trip May 23 and was wondering what excursions I should do and what I need to pack. I have added the London eye excursion but now I’ll definitely drop it to go to a museum instead !
Great video!! I am going on the EF Ultimate Break European Road Trip next May for my birthday, so I have been looking for any and all information. Thank you!!
thanks for the info! could you possibly do a video with some more tips/info about things like packing, what to do during free time, what the hostels are like, money (budget, how to/where to withdrawal money in europe), etc. ?
thank you so so much for this video!! I see a lot of others going at the end of May 2023, I just booked the trip yesterday!!! this was so so helpful. I’ll be looking at your channel to see your other videos!! I’m glad you had a great time. thanks again for the video❤ it was really well done!!!
I used primarily card! I brought some pounds for London and didn’t use them except to tip tour guides. I used some euros, but never needed to use them except for tipping and restrooms. :) everywhere accepted card for me.
While you were wondering around with a couple people away from the group, did you have someone from EF with you? Did you get a chance to ship everything your purchased home?
You typically get one tour guide from ef each trip. You’ll get free time and you go off on your own or with others from your group, but you won’t always have an EF employee with you. If you want to ship something home, you can talk to your tour guide and they’ll help you ship them. :)
hi! i am going on this trip in b a few weeks! i think you mentioned that you didn't know anyone coming in, which i don't either! did you find it easy to make friends and find things to do together that everyone wanted to do?
Yay!! That’s so exciting! Yes, so many people went solo. Those who went as a group were really social too. I never felt alone and always had people to hangout with and do things with! You’re going to love it❤️
Out of curiosity, how did you pack? I’m going on this same trip soon, and I was planning on bringing a duffle as my carry on, and checking in a suitcase. Do you think that will be okay? Did anyone check in any luggage on your trip?
I checked a medium size suit case and brought a backpack! During the trip, I had the backpack with me on all road trips/travel days and then stored the suit case under the bus. Most people checked a suitcase for this trip. I recommend not bringing more one though, so that you always have a free hand when walking :) compressible packing cubes were a huge help for me! amzn.to/3SeHyDr
You’ll have so much fun! The weather is perfect that time of year and it’s not too crowded. You’ll be in Paris right before the Olympics too. We took a train from Paris to Zurich Switzerland where our hostel was. We spent that night exploring Zurich and then the next morning we got a new bus driver who drove us to Lucerne where we took a gondola up the mountain & a train down it for the excursion. :)
Would you please give a little more details on the living conditions? Are they hotels or hostels? If hostels, how many girls in one room? It was always same gender right?
I believe they were all hostels! One city we had 6 girls in one room, but the rest of the trip was 2-4 girls per room. They only room same sex, unless you tell them otherwise. Most of them were good/okay. There was one where I felt my bed wasn’t cleaned beforehand and I asked for fresh sheets. It is europe, so a lot of places don’t have AC, including the hostels These accommodations vary per trip and if you are booking an Ultimate Plus trip, there will be better boarding deals.

I’m going on this tour in July I’m even more excited now! Did you carry a lot of cash or mostly use a card?

I'm supposed to be going may 2024 but my itinerary says it's supposed to be a train to Lucerne

Why online it says ages 18-35?

Was there a private toilet in each rooms? I don’t think this trip comes as ultimate plus just standard.
@@shahriyar.rahman yes! Each room came with a full bath!
Thank you so much!!
Are you traveling by train or bus?
It’s a mix! We went from London to Amsterdam by train. Bus from Amsterdam to Paris. Train from Paris to Zurich and the rest was all bus
