Awesome content and awesome truck. Love the fact that you are so well informed and rational. There are many out there that are just crazy and/or ignorant. I own a dual motor non FS and it is hands down the best vehicle I have ever driven. Kudos and keep up the great work.
Great video and thanks for sharing the important little details about owning a CT (like the bugs not hitting the windshield, differences between FS and non-FS), etc. Keep these great vids coming!
Been using my FS CT for work for work since April. Found it to be a great work truck. Love the ability to run core drills, concrete saws and welders on site and not have to seek out a suitable plug. Have 19K on mine so far. Charge for free at the shop since our electricity is included in the rent. Like the rack, but worried that it would limit the range quite a bit.
After installing the rack, we still have more than enough power to last through the entire service day. On average, my tech drives over 150 miles per day, but I tend to drive closer to 225 miles daily since I live in the country, and it takes me about 35 minutes to get to town. I remember another TH-camr mentioning that he experienced a 15% loss in range, but I haven't noticed a decrease that significant. We did switch to more aggressive BFG Goodwrench KO3 tires, which have reduced our range somewhat. However, even with those tires and the rack, which is only an inch and a half above the top of the truck with ladders and the Cruz storage container, we haven't encountered any noticeable range issues. I haven't conducted a technical test to determine the actual loss in range. My biggest concern was the noise, but it turns out that it's barely noticeable. We also added a rubber insert for the front of the rack as an optional piece, and I believe that made a significant difference, although I didn't test it without the insert.

This video is single-handedly the best advertisement for the Cybertruck and tradespeople. This is exactly what I thought when Tesla first revealed it. I've had a lifetime of tools stolen from my Dodge Ram diesel, and the door lock cylinder has been punched out. The Cybertruck is the best vehicle to store your tools in and can power welding machines, etc. All other electric trucks have windows that are easy to break and open truck bed space. The Cybertruck is the most logical choice. As a random fact, the new GMC EV truck doesn't even have a 240-volt outlet on the back.

One of the great advantages of owning your own home is that if you experience a power outage, you can access $80,000 worth of power walls that come with the truck. Additionally, in Colorado, there is a $5,000 instant credit available, along with a federal tax credit of approximately $7,000-though I recommend verifying that amount. When you factor in ownership costs, the overall price continues to decrease. It’s important to note that you cannot compare this price to that of a standard combustion vehicle, as the costs of owning a combustion vehicle tend to be significantly higher.

Twofold issue, there's some people who simply hate all EVs either due to misinformation or some feel threatened by them and then there's the other side that hates anything Elon related because of his political leaning it's sad but is the world we live in
The party that claims to be tolerant isn’t so tolerant after all, huh? Well, sir, I am so proud of you for standing by your principles. I’m on my third Tesla and would love to purchase a Cybertruck, but I use my diesel truck to tow a travel trailer, and the range is a bit limiting for that purpose.
I'd permit all employees that have them to utilize their CCW at work. More businesses SHOULD allow it and tell insurance companies to F-Off when they tell you to ban them in the workplace. Crazy people like the one you had to deal with is good enough reason to be prepared!
One of the advantages of owning a Cybertruck is that you are essentially driving an armored vehicle. If someone were to try something crazy, you would have a much better chance of staying safe in this vehicle compared to others.

@@oj9886 Hello, we plug them in every night like just about every Tesla. They’re ready for you in the morning. You can schedule them to be warm, and ready to go, or you can do it manually from the app. The range depends on a lot of things. If you put aggressive tires on it, you’ll get less range. If it’s cold outside, you might lose 5 to 10%, depending on how cold it is. But we never find ourselves not having enough range even after working a 12-hour day driving over 200 miles. Realistically, our trucks have the ladder rack on top with ladders creating resistance, and the KO3 tires are very aggressive. We would probably see around 250 miles in the wintertime. And around 275 miles in the summertime.
General Motors would never lie, but back in the thirties they said front wheel drive would kill you. I seem to remember that one time people said going faster than 15 MPH would kill you also.
@@aetherr I understand your pain stick through it. I believe the trucks are worth it and it’s just a lot of misinformation. I did another video where I even compare the differences between my diesel and the cyber truck.
I have a couple random questions for you. First is what about a sliding floor for the best? I don't know what else to call it. That way it could slide out to you instead of having to reach all the way into the bed. Maybe. That is totally unnecessary for your technician but I am not as nimble as once was so I think of that lol Second how is the visibility out of the front windshield, any real blind spots? Ohh what would it cost to replace the wiper? Maybe a dumb question but I feel like it would be crazy expensive. Great video fyi, you touched on some stuff I didn't even think of accessory wise. I also dislike the truck a bit less now. Not that I really hated it. lol Cheers
You must live in a very liberal state or city! I’m glad I live in a conservative state and city. I own a 2024 Tesla Model Y. I’d love to get a cyber truck one day.
The beauty of Tesla's vehicles is that they are so good that legacy auto companies have to try and compete, or they'll cede all the market to Tesla and BYD. Because of this, in a little over a decade, the internal combustion industry will make its last ICE. This is not a wild speculation, it's absolutely going to happen. Only the date is in question. After 2035, China, Europe, and a good portion of the US will not allow the sale of new ICE. You can keep your used ICE, or buy a used one, but no more new gas-burning vehicles will be sold. The existing billion plus ICE vehicles will age out over the following decade. After that, virtually all ground transportation will be electric. That's less than 25 years from now. Here in LA, Phillips 66 announced they are closing two refineries, and Valero in northern California is talking about closing their refinery in the Bay Area. Both oil companies cited that the penetration of EVs into the market is affecting demand for gasoline. We recently had a gas station close on a busy arterial in Santa Monica. Turned the lot into much needed housing. Toward the end, lots of gas stations will close making it very inconvenient to buy gas. Holdouts will look and feel pretty stupid. Plus their children will not want to be seen in a gas-burning car of any kind. That will be very uncool. One of the best things about killing the ICE industry is that even MAGAs will have to buy EVs because we're going to eliminate their choice to buy a polluting car. That's power, baby! You can't force anyone to be vegan, but we can, and we will, for everyone to drive an EV.

So many haters bro ..Love the wrap on that !!..I got a model x plaid and removed the seats ..love having the fastest service truck on planet .lol
That's great! I considered removing the back seats in the Cybertruck as well, but we managed to fit everything we needed without doing so. I did have a service from Tesla to fix one of the front mudflaps, and they were driving a Model X that didn't have any rear seats installed. There was a lot of space back there!
@ I’ll send you the pics :.I work on thermo king and carrier Transicold units ..I love that model x ..I can have it drive home for me no problem after along day .
As The Doors said "people are strange"
Makes you realize how serious mental health issues are. There's a lot out there and it's coming out. When an adult gets so bothered by something someone bought, that they threaten a business and risk going to jail. It's crazy world.
What is wrng with ppl its just a truck
Twofold issue, there's some people who simply hate all EVs either due to misinformation or some feel threatened by them and then there's the other side that hates anything Elon related because of his political leaning it's sad but is the world we live in
The party that claims to be tolerant isn’t so tolerant after all, huh? Well, sir, I am so proud of you for standing by your principles. I’m on my third Tesla and would love to purchase a Cybertruck, but I use my diesel truck to tow a travel trailer, and the range is a bit limiting for that purpose.
Good, stand by your decisions and don’t let these morons bully you
Can you give the name of the film you applied on the windshield?
Apologies if you already shared the info- who did the window film in Denver? (Happy happy happy CT owner in Carbondale)
@SoaringVideos I've been keeping tabs on the Level 3A Ballistic Glass that a Missouri company just announced at SEMA. It's very expensive though at 47k.
Great video man. Really appreciate the authenticity. Have you considered a bed slide for easier access to your equipment? I’d love to hear any recommendations or justification for not getting one. Thanks again and good luck to you and your business!
I considered a bed slide, but it reduced the overall height too much for our needs with larger tanks. The Milwaukee packouts really help us stay organized.
You seem like a good man, I would use your company if you were in my neck of the woods. Sorry to hear your are having to battle all the ignorance out there.
I had a Prius early on and experienced hate. Cut off, flipped off, and twice people left messages under my wiper.
Not too many want to cut off the Cybertruck with the cameras and hit, definitely the short end of the stick.
Yep. I remember when the Prius came out and it was a similar level of crazy hate. Although this new level of crazy is even worse.
What is the film for windshield??
Hmm, good question. I tried calling to ask, but they were closed. :-( If I find out I will let you know.
Man Cave Colorado, LLC in Westminster, CO installed our film in . They were kind enough to respond to a text about the film even though they are closed today. They said, “We use XPEL Prime XR series film for the tint. It’s their high heat rejection ceramic line of film block 88% of heat and 99.9% of UV rays”
@@SoaringVideosthat’s a 70% tint then. So it is a light tint. I tried putting that on my model 3 and there was an orange peel like distortion that was noticeable when looking at high contrast transitions, like white lane lines on a road, or white vehicles. Curious if you see that distortion at all.
@ wow I didn’t know there was any tint in it. I notice absolutely no tinting and no distortion or color changes at all.
@@SoaringVideos it's very light. some people notice the distortion and some people don't, either way the heat rejection is pretty awesome, especially for such a large windshield. Enjoy it.
Thanks for the video and sorry you had to go through that. Crazy how people hear more conversations about amendments and then all of a sudden they start talking about it when it doesn't apply because they don't understand them. Sad to see and even worse it is annoying.
As a Cybertruck owner, I get flipped off, people revving next to me, trying to cut me off, get away from me... It's insane peoples negative insights.. I mean I ignore them all, but it's just insane...
How often do you need to charge it .. range ?
@@oj9886
Hello, we plug them in every night like just about every Tesla.
Tesla does not make any front wheel drive vehicles. All Teslas are rear wheel drive or four wheel drive.
These just came out in Canada and I’m one of the first to have one and this is sadly true…. I get threatened and harassed daily.
Maybe. That is totally unnecessary for your technician but I am not as nimble as once was so I think of that lol
Second how is the visibility out of the front windshield, any real blind spots? Ohh what would it cost to replace the wiper? Maybe a dumb question but I feel like it would be crazy expensive.
Great video fyi, you touched on some stuff I didn't even think of accessory wise. I also dislike the truck a bit less now. Not that I really hated it. lol
Cheers
9:40 well said
Nobody in their right mind would throw away a pack, even salvaged. They are worth their weight in gold for off grid storage.
Can confirm we have the same exact trucks. Hvac is now quiter.
ya lks goodirty : )
I love my cybertruck as well. Thanks for sharing
You just sold me on a Cybertruck.
Congratulations on your choice, PS Tesla uses referral code for additional discount and benefits for both parties. Great choice!
What did you do when threatened? Did you report them? Because death threats are a crime.
My office staff reported it, and the Sheriff’s Department took it seriously, thank goodness.
