While I absolutely agree that exo isnt a top tier deck, it is better than half the decks you put in t2 100%. Sakitama means the game has a great 1 card starter in aratama, you can cut a lot of names in the main for non engine and can easily fit 20 non-engine cards. Deck has been topping in the OCG regularly with shifter at 2 und prosp hit as well.

Sky striker is tier 1.5 because it’s a high-skill deck and it very well compliments high skill players. In an average player’s hands, it’s not the best choice, but in a competent player’s hands, it’s a very good meta call. Edit: I understand your argument that it’s too fair of a deck for modern yugioh, however keep in mind that while the cards themselves are fair in terms of tempo trading, the cards are very powerful and the deck has a very strong grind game. Today’s decks focus on being too unfair in the early game but sacrifice the grind game. All sky strikers have to do is survive the the first two turns.
Depends what deck they face, if they go up against Ikea Labrynth, Branded or Runick decks, they are not probably not outgrinding. It probably is pretty decent into Spright, but it's gonna struggle probably vs stuff like Dragon Link (Bystials) or Mathmech (too explosive).
@@ainevek I disagree with your point there. With so many ways to access shark cannon and widow anchor, plus its excellent use of handtraps, I think it can defend against Dragon Link or Mathmech just fine. As far as Lab or Branded or Runick goes, the only one I think has a better grind game is Lab. Sky Striker is very capable of simply incorporating Runick into the deck and can easily break Runick since the deck has built-in searchable backrow destruction. Since Branded has so many choke points that can be easily exploited by Sky Striker (such as widowing the Albion when it activates to fuse or sharking the Albaz so they have no valid fusion targets, ash blossoming the branded fusion, veilering the Aluber, etc), I think Branded doesn't stand a chance against an experienced/skilled Sky Striker player. Now, you're likely correct in regards to Lab. that will probably be their hardest matchup.
@@Scifiwriting41 they'll absolutly get blasted by branded if they don't open ash. Yes shark cannon is nice, but the days branded relied on branded in red alone are over. Also striker can't fit enough handtraps nor go first very well so I don't see when you shark cannon albion, and they can skip albion and go for lubellion instead They can also play around widow anchor by getting a Cartesia on field first. Branded has too much Gas and recursion for sky striker to stop. Also, Runick variants (like fur hire spright) grind very hard, and draw way more cards. Maindecking the backrow removal striker card is bad. If its Runick Stun it's even worse since most of your engine is straight up dead.
7:00 someone in chat says "not to be disrespectful, but waka ushi is 2 syllables." You're wrong. In japanese, itd be 4 "syllables" (wa-ka-u-shi). Japanese doesnt use emphasis, though. You don't separately emphasize any syllables. Saying wakaushi as all one thing is closer to the correct pronunciation than saying waka ushi.
What do you think about Going 2nd Swordsoul? Vishuda and Baxia as well as Chengying and the Draco Berserker seem good at breaking boards and pushing for game (if necessary alongside Droplet or Kaijus).
SS has always had grreat potential going 2nd, as it can play thorugh million things given the right hand. But the biggest make or break thing right now for newer SS decks will be if they can incorporate some cool new Denglong tricks

@@cameronsmith4342 Yeah I have mi link3 and my apex waiting for the miracle haha
how about adventure melffy spright
What do you think about Runick Sky?
Hey nice vid. Just courious to know if you think that scareclaw is a viable option this format
Branded bros, ash blossom isn't a card, it doesn't exist, 1 card can't shut down an entire archetype on it's own.
Edit: Not naming names, lmao, but yeah my comment is a joke at branded players expense.
If you are still losing to ash then you either haven't updated your build since 2 wave of supports ago or you are just bad. Ash hurt but any above average hand plays through it
@@alexYu-gi-oh True but u have to admit it kinda makes your turn 1 really bad and u need a combination of specific cards play around it unless your playing nadir and maximus in that case u just make the board on the opp turn
@@phoenix5095 quem definitely helps alot, its a great support for the deck and it is 2 disruptions at once on its own
But yeah you obviously not happy when u getting ash'd but between cartesia and quem ash hurts much much less now compared to a year ago when it was sometimes just a pass
@@alexYu-gi-oh Twas a joke, relax friend.
Pure Scareclaw? 👀
Denglong is back. Cuz did Dino dirty 😢
vanquish soul looks cool but expensive is it worth it ???
Denkst du, dass adventure spright nochmal was wird?
my hopium pick for actual potential: Tellar. their new wave of support was pretty crazy and they have a wide variety of playstyles available. maybe like tier 2 or 3?
my copium pick that i'm going to play way too much: Nouvelles. serving up borgar
can you sell me on why i would play this over dark world?
@@tecul1 honestly I think Dark World is probably better unless you really like xyz combo decks
dam, at least you're honest
@@tecul1 I mean Dark World is actually on the tier list so I'd say perception of that deck is a little better than Tellars LMAO
u can get diameter/any of the tuners off cyberse wickid
did joshua forget that kash literally shotguns barone if they see unicorn + any ghost sister? the barone is so easy to get into and shuts down the cards he listed besides kurikara
@@ddeine_ 3 ash + 3 mourner + 2 or 3 ogre/belle. thats 8-9 tuners with everything in ur deck being 7 not taking normal.
None of those Ghost girls are popular except for Ash. Most Kash lists that topped a YCS play none of the others as far as I can find, for a good reason.
@@arobnugzo6818 ok lets blindly ignore the lists that also played mourner and the events previously dont mean shit after the list took affect. New meta new builds.
Im hurt😭 i just went X-2 at an LA regional this past weekend with salad and joshua thinks its trash😭😭
Vanquish soul got 2nd place at Italian Nationals.
They gotta be higher on the tier 2 list.
this was made on stream before the nats
@tecul1 I know, but if he sees this, maybe he'll change the list a bit now
What do you think about Live twin spright with like 15 non engine?
it can work but runick makes it so much more consistent
I can’t tell if my dude has a giant Yugioh card behind him, as a poster? Or he is shrunken down to card size.
virtual world comment had me so dead 💀
Hey Josh, what do you think of Dinomorphia with the new trap?
While I absolutely agree that exo isnt a top tier deck, it is better than half the decks you put in t2 100%. Sakitama means the game has a great 1 card starter in aratama, you can cut a lot of names in the main for non engine and can easily fit 20 non-engine cards. Deck has been topping in the OCG regularly with shifter at 2 und prosp hit as well.
So why didn't you do amdamancipotor that is easy tier 2 or tier 3,you need to re do this video 🤔
Scareclaw seems high end tier 3
Was looking for this
The argument about Droll losing popularity is kinda weird tho, considering how many of the Tier 1.5 and 2 decks suffers with it.
Why is eldlich unplayable?
can you maybe next tier list ranked dogmatika ? and can i send send you then adeckbuild?
Why no eldlich? I always thought that those trap decks can always adapt to the meta by changing traps.. Floodgate are always a pain, so 9/12 flood + counter negate for monsters could be able to smash a lot of decks imo.
Ps: i love eldlich ❤
they lose mega hard game 2 and 3 coz ppl side for them
is spright live twin without runicks a valid deck ? I prefer going handtraps as I feel like they do way more when going 2nd.
Absolutely, it won Spain nationals
@@PortableMediaReviews ye but I don't see it in the tier list, that's why I'm asking where it should go
Noooo my eldlich... 😢
Hi Joshua! I mostly play in Master duel, and play Exosister. I don't know what happens in TCG, but I keep hearing that Exosister will become bad, and you just rank it "unplayable". Can you please tell me why? Thank you so much in advance.
Exosister is good in a format with meta decks that it counters, like Tear was. If not playing a good matchup, it's just decent, but not amazing.
Like the comment above..
Exo is really good as anti meta.. But when the meta is not the deck it countered its just decent not amazing..
Also josh just doesnt like exo like he doesnt like mathmech.. So a bit bias
Maybe tier 3 or even 2 if it can adapt well
Sky striker is tier 1.5 because it’s a high-skill deck and it very well compliments high skill players.
Also striker can't fit enough handtraps nor go first very well so I don't see when you shark cannon albion, and they can skip albion and go for lubellion instead
They can also play around widow anchor by getting a Cartesia on field first. Branded has too much Gas and recursion for sky striker to stop.
Also, Runick variants (like fur hire spright) grind very hard, and draw way more cards. Maindecking the backrow removal striker card is bad. If its Runick Stun it's even worse since most of your engine is straight up dead.
7:00 someone in chat says "not to be disrespectful, but waka ushi is 2 syllables."
You're wrong. In japanese, itd be 4 "syllables" (wa-ka-u-shi). Japanese doesnt use emphasis, though. You don't separately emphasize any syllables. Saying wakaushi as all one thing is closer to the correct pronunciation than saying waka ushi.
They know. They are joking about how MBT purposefully mispronounces it
What do you think about Going 2nd Swordsoul?
Vishuda and Baxia as well as Chengying and the Draco Berserker seem good at breaking boards and pushing for game (if necessary alongside Droplet or Kaijus).
SS has always had grreat potential going 2nd, as it can play thorugh million things given the right hand. But the biggest make or break thing right now for newer SS decks will be if they can incorporate some cool new Denglong tricks
Tear?
Would be better if we seen you play some games with these choices
Prohibition 3x and declare fallen of albaz
Best cards against spright runick twins in the mirror
send nabla then brimh it back then summon diameter and keep goimg the same way
Anti meta deck could be a great opponent against the actual meta game. The only problem is Labrynth but in general have a good matchup against the other decks 😅
In my channel I have my list I endws 6-3 in the last nats in my country so I think is pretty well 😊
I actually just topped a very comp local 30+ with anti meta
