Just moved to USA but I endorse this message. Work in the USA, invest back in Kenya, let your children learn, know and visit Kenya regularly. Its not about the money, it's about making, growing and leaving great legacies and people behind. Make it a point of making sure your children know where they come from, where their homeland is, who their ancestors are. There is nothing worse than human beings with identity crisis. As a parent, its your sole responsibility for your children know their mother tongue first, the rest of the languages are secondary and they will learn along the way. When they grow up, they will not forget and they will appreciate their roots.
If you have made it in diaspora, make a point of ensuring that your children know their roots. Or else, their is no point for you to make all the money and end up creating future generations with identity issues. Money comes and goes, but identity stays forever.
