Wow I hope I have as much get up and go as them when I’m 79, I’m 62 and don’t think I could do that, total respect, love the Who. I was just a few years too young when they played at Charlton Football ground in the mid 70’s, and never got round to seeing them after that. Saw Quadruphenia at Barking Odeon in 79 I was the only Rocker and wearing a Leather Jacket in the middle of a Sea of Parker wearing Mods, surreal or what hahaha ✌🏽
I was at Charlton in the pouring rain, the Who were equalled by the Sensational Alex Harvey band first support - have seen them since - still the best rock band of all time
Best gig I have ever seen. This was the opener and the sound was superb.Middle centre of the crowd and the bass drum felt like it was coming from the ground. Ears were still ringing the next day at work!!!
I don't know if you heard. Pete Townshend has been sick since the beginning of the tour. In Brighton, he had to cancel the 'meet and greet'. And John Entwistle had to show him a few licks back in the 70s. He himself admitted recently that he didn't compare himself to Hendrix or even Page. His windmill playing you can hardly call picking. Time doesn't stop for any one. He was a brilliant song writer, isn't that enough?
Sorry mate, Townshend wasn't up to it, his Strat playing was woefully inadequate. Only when he changed it to the red, it got a little better. It lacked the old energy. He was always a good rhythm guitarrist at his best. Roger's voice is still surprisingly strong.

Fantastic gig. I was too far to the left, couldn’t see the orchestra so this is a fantastic view.. The sound and vocals were amazing 🤩
