Exploring the Jemez mountains for Obsidian (Apache tears)

Decided to check out the Jemez mountains in the Santa Fe national forest to search for some obsidian pieces aka: Apache tears. Had quite an adventure around the mountains and beautiful scenery of northern New Mexico!!
Found tons of beautiful specimens and some great camping areas. #rockhounding #obsidian #exploration #mineralcollecting #newmexico

Wonderful video 😊 i go rockhounding in germany but it is so different what you can find here. Not so many agates, but some jaspers and many fossils.
