- On-road, we often lack Situational Awareness due to some bad habits that we are used to now on our Indian roads. I join hands with Hyundai Motor India Foundation to create awareness about some practices that help overall situational awareness. In this video of Be The Better Guy, you will see me asking a few questions to people not using ORVM, indicators, and people who have witnessed Drink and Drive situations.

I really appreciate this effort Sir, love to be a part of this initiative.
One major issue if you could cover next time would be the incompetency of driving schools and trainers.
Recently my sister went for driving classes, she completed her 14 days course but still she can't even drive straight and she even doesn't know to use clutch brake to stop the car. Surprisingly the trainer didn't told her anything about ORVM and IRVM.
And more interestingly, he offered to get her a licence at home without any test for 1000rs extra.
1000rs is the price to let an untrained driver drive on roads, to be a threat for himself and others.
Lol my sister asked how to turn on lights after driving for a month, said she never drove at night, high beam low beam,ORVM and IRVM are advanced things
@@Cosplayinghuman There are so many points that needed to be covered during driving lessons. It's not applicable for just 4 wheelers, there are no apt knowledge about 2 wheeler driving, how to change lanes, which lane to maintain,etc.
None of the commercial drivers are professionally trained, they usually don't have a clue about lanes and they park right on the highway instead of service lanes.

It's so fascinating that in 2022, we have to teach people basic things like using indicators and ORVMs!
I immediately felt anxious the moment you have turn his IRVM. I follow every single rule no the road even the speed limits even if they are impractical at some places. The only problem with me is while driving I'm almost always furious when people do not follow the rules.
Me too. I just sometimes don't follow the speeding limits :p

These small mistakes of people is major reason for accidents
People should use
1. Lane sense
2. Indicator
3. Orvm and irvm
4. Avoid using high beam in city
Your speed doesn't matter if you have good control...!!
It really takes guts to talk to drivers about their mistakes and record them on camera. There is a high possibility of getting beaten by angry people. Kudos to Gagan!

Whenever I drive my father's car my relatives and other family members make fun of me be coz I give indicator on lane chng , follow every safety rules. But by following these rules ,it make me feel safe. Thank you sir, Safest car vo h jiska driver responsible person hai👍
Let them speak buddy and you continue to drive safe. Your friends will also say that remove the seatbelt and all but ignore them and continue to drive safely and responsibly. Appreciate that you drive safe in the age where it is hard to understand.

Its really pity how even educated and sensible people dont obey simple yet important driving rules.

Using turn signals should be a muscle memory for any driver.
Sir please continue this series. I have started following all the traffic rules after watching channels like you. I request everyone else to first get educated about all the rules. It is very easy. Most of the Indians don't even know about lane system, speed limts and traffic signs. Please follow traffic rules.
I'm a biker.. ride with both the glasses and trying to follow the rules ..this habit of driving is actually worked when I learned to drive a car...so always try to drive with all the safety purpose accessories of the vehicle..do not remove them only for good looks...style purpose.

I've had 2 major accidents simply because the guys in front of me didn't use their indicators and took dangerous and sudden turns. It is painful to watch people do this. The sheer carelessness is scary. Good to see that someone is addressing the issue. Bless you man.

Thanks for doing this. I see almost every DL/HR guy never opens their orvms and keep driving in the wrong lane in Himachal. About 80 percent accidents in himachal happens because of these guys. Overtaking on turns and driving in wrong lane and overspeeding as if they're driving on the straight roads of haryana and delhi.

Biggest fault people do is use of Hazard lights while driving rains. 2 days ago on a highway in extreme rain people were using hazard lamps instead of parking lights, fog lamps or headlight.
Videos like this are much needed.

Most of the Maruti 800/ 1000 / Fiat / Ambassador generation used to get only driver side OVRM - and that too they used to keep closed!

My driving habits
1. Indicatr on line change
2. Slowing down at road crossings
3. Slowing down at yellow light at signals
4. Applying hazrd lights at hardbreaking
5. Wait and move at U-turns
6. Mostly Right side overtakes
7. Maintaining distance with Big vehicles
8. Sound horn only when ready to overtake if the road is clear
9. No wrong side driving.
10. I never cross 80kmph speed
