Me too buddy. Yes I have to say they have been great, OK it's taken a while to get sorted but as I said in the video they really needed to figure out what was wrong first, so that's fair enough.
Unfortunate with such a hard-to-identify problem and especially unlucky if that unusual. Still, good you're getting good customer service by the sound of it and there's a solution forthcoming. Kayaks do have a mind of their own sometimes..
Yes great customer service, and I'm grateful I don't have to ship the boat back. However, I do feel for Doug because I know this will bug him for a while wondering what the hell caused it where as for me it's all done with.
As frustrating as all of this sounds it does seem like they really care about getting it figured out. I'm always impatient when it comes to getting on the water, so this would probably drive me a little crazy but I'm excited to see how it all turns out for you and the pakayak.
Well the issue has been sorted out by exhanging half the kayak (sections 5 and 6) but still no actual leak indentified. Does Pakayak want the old sections 5 and 6 back for RCA? If not then I would get rid of the tape, assemble old sections 5 and 6, put the boat in the water and sit on it at the top legs wide open in reverse position and see/feel with the hatch open if you can identify the leak. Pakayak states the not have seen this before. Could be. Could.
No thanks I have messed about with it enough. And that is exactly what they wanted me to do. As for the problem itself it was the two parts not joining together correctly just a one in a million chance, and my replacement will be hearing in a day or two so all good.
Great customer service makes such a difference, glad you will be sorted in time for the big trip.

It's all sorted now nothing else to tell you.
You must have skipped over it in the video. They are sending me a brand new back end.
