I've played with God King Darius so much I can almost quote all his lines from memory.
Jg main, but if I played top I think I’d def play Darius, looks like a shit ton of fun, strong sustain, tanky, yet a damage monster with cool mechanics, and of course... The Michael Jordan windmill dunk.

Literally looking at the designs I thought I would support Garen, looking at their behaviour I support Darius easy.
I'm of a different mind set. Looking at the designs - I support Garen. Looking at their behavior...I still support Garen.
Both have a 'My way or the Highway attitude'
I.e - Darius claims freedom. Well guess what, if you don't want to fight your dead
I.e - Garen claims Justice. But if you go against him, your dead.
Folks can claim Darius stands for freedom all they want. But it is essentially the same. He is fight or die. Garen is Obey or Die. One tries to achieve permanent war, the other permanent peace.
Garen only win's out because frankly a eternal war where your forced to fight in an eternal hell basiclly, sounds alot worse than an eternal peace where it just like 'did you break the law? No? Okay move on'
@@nightbane2889 from what I understood is that Garen is authoritarian, and I will take any leader over one like that. Darius is anarchistic, which isn’t good, but it’s much better than authoritarian in my books.
@@BrontiThor Darius isn't really anarchistic as far as I can tell. He is in fact a Warmonger. He doesn't oppose Garen because he rules (note both Darius and Garen share the title of God King and lead their respective group), he opposes Garen because Garen stands in the way of a world of war.
If Darius was just about screw the government controlling everything, let folks live how they want, I would be gun-ho Darius lets go....but that is not what is happening. He is a warmonger.

@@nightbane2889 so even if league is known to have bad lore, lets suppose the charackter writing in this particular case is actualy somewhat decent, what does this result in? non linear motivation and inner conflict. darius as much as anarchy as a political system have their foundaition in rebellion, anarchists rose against the new tyrants who came to be after the fall of monarchy (factory owners and alike) while darius represents the rebellion against the dominant force in the fantasy world of rune terra, demecia. so basicly garen is cpt america, shiny and golden, wielding selfproclaimed justice while being blindsided by his own absolutism, while darius represents the unheard masses who have suffered from this very ignorance shown by garen. this makes darius somewhat the true representitive for justice, but while his cause may very well be justified, he is, just as garen, burdened with unresolvable conflict. because in order to overcome tyranny you must fight, but if you fight you lose your humanity and therefor the justification to fight, wich leads to the growing darkness clearly shown in the artwork and voicelines. garen on the other hand represents demacias attempt to force submission, a hollow peace wich in itself demands the rise of an opposition such as noxus, wich then completes the destructive circle.

@@normalbird1139 The problem is that Noxus ideals are extremely corrupted. Those ideals are now just propaganda to fed the masses where Noxus elite is slowly turning more and more into a full fledged oligarchy. They promise freedom, but wage war to enslave others. How does that make sense.

The leaders of Noxus were always from the strong and that is still true, when has it changed?
