Now uncut. A complete approach and landing at Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in San Juan, PR. A windy February day, we're coming in from east for this 35minutes flight starting from St.Maarten. Beautiful day to Island Hop.
Starting with San Juan Centre, then over to approach for some vectors, then tower for the final part of the flight. An instrument guided Visual Landing on Rwy 10, then finally ground control for the taxi in to the gate.
Pleasure having you onboard!
I lived in Puerto Rico in the 1960's and 70's. Wow how much urban sprawl has developed since 1977! I still recognized a few things from the air. Great video!
Stunning! Thanks for sharing this beautiful video!

Wow! Great video. Thanks. Wondering why at 22:50 the interior shot looks like some damage on the upright near the window. Plane falling apart soon? :)
Smooth!
SUPERB VIDEO! I am truly impressed with the whole thing but I have a feeling something else will impress me more... was this shot with an iPhone 4?
Awesome man!!
Love your vids:D
@skyprince42 No it's Insel Air. An airline from curacao. This flight goes CUR-SXM-SJU-SXM-CUR
look at the Delta Hottie just soak up the sun ! ^_*
Amazing I love it!!!
Is the wear-and-tear around the windows (seen at timestamp 19:06) typical for these older birds? I hope that is just damage to superficial trim.
Thanks for a great video!
AAAAAAMAZING!
genial, absolut super, thx
Wow amazing, took almost all the runway btw what was that asqueaking suound near landing
awesome
Nice video. ..
gracias !!
@mattfordyce it was just an apticol alushion. I also thought that something fell off but nothing did.
I can't believe that airport is going to be under water before 2040
damn! nice graphics!! haha
what a beautiful video ... BTW are you a pilot ???
Mi Puerto Rico :D
Only if you filmed a little more... we could have enjoyed the lovely engine shut down sound...
It's neet to see this film clip and hear that turbine ! I only ever see the internal turbine componets , (turbine blades) I see them all , Pratt&Whitney , Rolls Royce , Textron Lycoming, SNECMA , G.E. , Garret/Airesearch, MTU . It's neet to get this perspective when the aircraft is all assembled .
That's a nice video, beautiful landing. As far as the MD-80 aircraft, at 19:07 on the video the camera was pulled back and I was surprised to see that the windshield support frame seemed to be suffering from severe corrosion. What's up with that..??
+Sandsculptor the "support frame" gets a new hard foamy molding cover every year. This is somehow glued on it.
Our environment takes a big toll on these cosmetic parts and they usually let loose before time. Somewhat like what happens in some cars. What you see there is old glue and dust and gunk. All of which resembles corrosion. I guarantee you that no pilot would fly it if it would've been corroded.
There were passengers aboard this thing? How come? It's seems to be a rust bucket.
an pa sav' siw ka palé kréyol ou siw ka konpwann' li mè sèl biten an pé diw sé bwavo pour sé bèl kalitité zimaj' la ou ban nou!!
mèsi on lo !!
I know this has probably been asked already but when you say no lights you meant no reverse thrust correct?
usually we let it roll till the end. around the islands here where there are long runways, we use them instead of the brakes. using the rwy don't cost a thing :)
first ithougt u were using flight simlator
then after dew minutes i saw it was real
tnx bud
AA was cleared for take off from RWY 8 they landed RWY 10
@astoniz DUH! yes he is :-)
Milk trafficker, when the airport was constructed the city was seven miles away, that was back in 1956. The city has since grown to the extent that it is surrounded by a huge urban area which includes San Juan and many other municipalities.
Benjamin Martinez very true, basically San Juan city includes Guaynabo, Carolina, Bayamon, Trujillo Alto, Cataño (sadly), and parts of other municipalities.
this was one A.NET todat
Wepaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Borinquén. Amen 🙏🏻 ❤️🇵🇷🇺🇸🇵🇷🙏🏻.
I will be there jan 2015

Thumbs up if airliners net sent you here!

Interesting that American was cleared for takeoff while you were still on the runway.

Welcome to the U.S. Colony of Puerto Rico. ELA=COLONIA.
Very long final.
lol is this real or FSX?
🇪🇸👍🇵🇷
En los 40 y50 las casas eran de paja de caña hoy son cemento ahora ciento de hoteles autopistas y centro comerciales.
Sigfredo Esteves en San Juan nunca fue así, o eres un pnpeto o no sabes tres carajos.
Ok
Agree....pray that is all that is falling apart...yikes!
Salario
También millones
de boricuas comenzaron a invertir dinero casas negocios
automóviles.
Dinero!
auto pilot the plane land it self..
También los 35
mil boricuas de
Hawaii mandaba
dinero a sus familiares.
