Weirdly I feel the opposite about the mage and templar conflict. Templars having a lot of content after their quest being resolved and Calpernia getting a lot of attention as a villain.
I remember getting Dragon Age Inquisition during the Christmas of 2014 and played it a lot on my PS3. When I got it for the PS4, I got this game again and replayed it four times because I want to try all four races. A lot of fans felt it was mediocre and boring, some of them just gave half way, but I didn’t. I enjoyed the story and characters. If Dragon Age Inquisition gets a PS5, I’m playing this game to try out the races, classes and romance options Inquisition Male Elf Knight Enchanter. Romanced Cassandra Female Human Tempest. Romanced Cullen Female Dwarf Assassin. Romanced Blackwall Male Qunari Reaver. Romanced Josephine Female Elf Champion. Romanced Solas Female Qunari Necromancer. I don’t even consider this to be a Dragon Age game. The combat is ok but everyone is ugly and there is a lot of jank in the game mechanics. locking several things to 30 fps wasn’t good either. I’d write more, but I need to cross the Hinterlands in order to deliver some flower seeds back the owner who dropped them. Byeee!
The game is good but somehow i never managed to finish it and evey try stopped on halfway. Story is good but the gameplay become really repetitive and lack combat diversity.
Level gating is basically the only thing I hate about DA:I I mean, it’s ok having open world maps with some nice and a lot of filler side quests I like exploring and doing the smaller things(like the question marks on Witcher 3 maps) but i hate the fact that I’m FORCED to play them to unlock main story quests because while some of them require something like 8 power others require 30 or even 40 power. Fortunately there are ways to bypass this: on PC you can download a mod that deletes level gating completely along with the time needed to complete the war table operations, on console you can use the power glitch. Other than that I really like Inquisition, not as much as Origins but way more than DA2😌
Id rate DAI like 5-6/10. Its got effort/love but like most of the people who made the series special left the company . My least favourite thing about the game is how everybody looks . They went from fantasy art faces to wannabe realistic faces which just look servicable most of the time .On that note , the tone . Dragon age should be bleak and depressing , its dark fantasy ffs. You can have light hearted parts , DAO often did . DAI is a marvel movie in every bad way , there is hole in the sky spawning demons , there is an ancient monster man trying to rule everything and corrupt all , there is a war between mages and the ruling church which has power over the government . The skill trees are the worst in the series yet. Mages should be powerful , in DAO you conjured storms of fire , thunder and ice ! You buffed your party , etc . Not to mention the specializations . The variety, in builds and all being viable at the least . I hope DADW is better and learns from the previous games' mistakes . The games can even go action rpg instead of crpg and mmorpg combat . As long as they focus on it and the story . The series has tons of love put into and it will be a shame if all of that got wasted on bad writting and it being made by a factory ( contractors who come in to make stuff and leave , people who just do it for the money , etc ) instead of a dev team.
The combat , if made into action , has so much potential . Mages have to be careful with magic otherwise they will turn into abominations . Imagine slashing and hacking foes while your rogue protects the mage . The mage is casting a spell , if they fail , death might not be the only consequence . Rogues are about dexterity rather than strength . Imagine doing some jobs or talkative quests in about a weeks time , your skills get sloppy and you fail to steal the opponents weapons . Warriors are warriors . Strength and skill , they have to train atleast once in a while otherwise they get sloppy like rogues ,but also fail to resist opponents , etc. So much potential for fun and indepth mechanics and gameplay , just need effort .
Great video. I wish I liked this game. The southern greyspawn are just idiots you have to kill just so you can talked to them. The greyspawn HQ won't help in the slightest to save the world or even care about the protodarkspawn they let lose with a potential 6th blight archdemon loose. The greyspawn are the Orsino of DAI. I would rather they ended the now useless order and start something new and less derpy for the next game. Or just make Orsino the head warden. Then the "rebel" mages are also written as idiots. They won't help save the world because they left enslavement by the chantry to become willing slaves for an evil tevinter cult that is horribly murdering the tranquils and absolutely no talks about it because apparently no one cares. DAI is a weird game that has many parts that are amazing while also having some of the worst story writing and game design in a AAA game. I wish the developers had more time to make DAI. Hopefully one day they will get to fix. The DLC was excellent. The main game isn't a game I like. DA2 and Origins are definitely better games than DAI.

If you don’t mind the little stories just ignore the shards and stars and all the tedious stuff, it’ll go so much quicker
