- A compilation of every kick return touchdown of the 2022 college football season. For those that don't know, a kick return touchdown is when the kickoff return man catches the kick and runs it all the way to the opposing team's end zone for a touchdown. In total, there was 30 such instances in the 2022 college football season. Watch all 14 minutes to relieve some of the most exciting moments from this past college football season including South Carolina's Xavier Legette opening the game with a TD against Texas A&M and Indiana's Jaylin Lucas sparking a comeback victory against Michigan State. the best 2 are 7:51 and (as a miami fan, i hate to say it, but) 5:13. Williams-brice and doak both packed to the brim at the opening kickoff where the energy is at the highest and returning it in front of the home crowd going bonkers? and versus a conference opponent??... dope moments.

W Miami fan. I was at the FSU game in the student section, and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was amazing, dudes were jumping into random dudes arms and hugging.

Honestly the best part of the Oklahoma State vs Baylor one for me is that it was the start of the second half and the CMB was trudging back up to our seats after our halftime performance. I remember I was just about up when I looked at the field once I heard the kickoff. It was great

Not a lot of kick returns this season compared to other seasons

Probably put on a different jersey for the kickoff. College football teams have more than 100 players, so some numbers have to be shared. This is normally fine because you can split them between offense and defense, but for special teams, those players can be on the field at the same time. This would be confusing and illegal, so one of them has to put on a different-numbered jersey. For such limited use, it doesn't make sense to custom-make one for every player, so these jerseys typically don't have nameplate.

That's an understatement. The team pretty much gave up after beating Texas and getting blasted by Kansas State.
