just a tiny tip. :) as everywhere else in this world, there are different types of handwriting in russian. we master the same letter forms when we are just learning how to write, but everything changes afterwards. so, if you feel complicated about a cursive version of any cyrillic letter, you can use a printed one. there are no strict regulations upon it, just make your own style. :)
anyway, it's crucial to remember the cursive forms just to be able to recognize them. i can't promise that even this would make your life more easy, because some of the handwritings are quite terrible. ;)
    so, Udachi! (=good luck)

As a Greek, it really looks like a drunk version of our alphabet: they use H insted of N and N reversed instead of H (which in greek sounds the same as I), they use number 3 for Z and the greek version of E (ε) inversed. Also omega (Ω) like it has fallen down to the side, two versions of Y and the L letter seems like a drunk Π xD

These videos are great but the website offers a lot and uses the Rosseta Stone style of pictures and word association, I'm sure that will be how I will learn more words faster, I will finish watching all of the videos I can find on youtube first and go back to the website for reference and pronunciation. Going to start with the alphabet on TH-cam and follow the website after I can easily read the Russian letters and have good sound association. Not to mention just practicing sounding out the words... Now I need to get a hold of some of my old Russian friends or make some new ones to practice and have a person to help correct my pronunciation.
