    The G650 is one impressive aircraft, nice smooth takeoff! That's cool to see the P.180 on the ramp as well, I really want to spot one of those some day.

      Thanks HDA! It took me over a year to get a chance to see a P.180 at SDL. I'll have a video on that soon...

      It really doesn't get much better than the G650! The great look, the superior performance, (and the insane price tag) lol

    Such a beautiful aircraft, nice job on keeping her in frame during the shot. I know how difficult it is to do so when you're at the observation deck!

    • @HometownPilot
      @HometownPilot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Had issues with my camera on this day where everything I shot was choppy - luckily this was one of the only aircraft that wasn't (too) choppy on takeoff.

      @@HometownPilot are you mostly shooting on a tripod or are you shooting anything handheld?

      its all handheld... don't have a tripod (yet)

      @@HometownPilot All of my stuff at scottsdale is handheld too. i have a tripod that i use when i can (like at KPHX). Are you using premiere pro for editing? Killer work man.

    Those engines are massive for that airframe.

    • @HometownPilot
      @HometownPilot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not as bad as the Citation X, but yes, a tad on the big size lol. The engines need to be massive if its going to fly 7,000 nm at 0.92 mach.

    Hi, silly question, at 0:11 you can see 3 rectangular openings, do you know what they are? The one on the side I imagine is the APU inlet, but what are the other two? Also, at 0:55 you can see two more grated openings, under the copilot's window, one round one square, any idea what purpose these serve? Thank you.. James

    Why is it I always see them engage one of the 2 engine reverse thrust clams during taxi?? Great job as always

    • @HometownPilot
      @HometownPilot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any Gulfstream/corporate pilot can correct me, but I believe its to save the brakes when taxiiing...

    • @KuostA
      @KuostA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HometownPilot wouldn't utilizing the reversers causing engine wear to brake be far more expensive than brake wear?

    • @HometownPilot
      @HometownPilot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brakes have to be replaced at a much higher rate than engines so by avoiding using them when taxiing, adds a little more life to them.

    • @KuostA
      @KuostA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HometownPilot interesting. I can see that. but still seems backwards. that's like downshifting a car to every single red light to save on brake pads, just because brake pads need to be replaced more often, but in turn, putting far more wear on a cars engine and transmission, causing both to go out faster with far more expense.

    If someone ask me to choose whom I want to meet or see personally between Russia's Putin or the Gulfstream plane? I would choose the Gulfstream aircraft's.
