I don't usually use tier lists because i exclusively play homebrewed builds, but it's become something of a tradition to watch yours every season, Raxx. Appreciate your work.
Not a single one of his list were on point with the meta. Every season, Raxxes list is just not right at all..

Same haven't made 100 at all yet.. hard to when you work 16 hours a day and 4 damn pets to deal with at home

Didn’t even play a single minute of Season 3. The changes they’ve made will bring me back to give it another go.

I tried season 3 till level 20 and was like nah im out.
I have been following the golden rule of "play what you want" as a casual since the launch of D4. That has always been Summoner Necromancer, every season. Now its my time to shine. :)
I havent played since season 1 release. I am a necromancer minion fan as well. I did my best to push him as far as I could, but I think I only managed lvl 60 or something. He felt really weak, so I'm definitely going to play a new necro this season. From weakest to strongest sounds good.
yup tier lists and min maxing ruin games and these elitist swines just eat it up and "content creators" just farm it
I've played random choice (using spinner wheel) and have had it chose for me the worst or 2nd worst class every time. I'll just be glad to finally have a class that's at least on paper looking like it won't be fighting uphill the whole time.
Played a lot of necro season 2, with every build. Summon barely worked, for early to mid game, so I had to switch to infinimist. Finally I can play it in all of its glory.
So you have actually been playing a roguelike game instead of an arpg and now is finally your time for a good run! Have fun. I haven't touched Necro Sums cause she was ridiculously on purpose and without reason weak. Finally will play her!

The joys of being an adult. I remember getting the whole weekend off for one of the D3 seasons, was planning to push hard with my mates. We all had house shit we had to get done, etc xD

I don't think so, rhey didn't address the terrible AI, minions will hit a bit harder for sure but the build is often times so clunky because the minions are stupid that although better than its previous iteration this game still has the worse minion experience in all current ARPGs
necro isn''t just minions even in d2 necro was never really a minion build that build would get you to nightmare and that's about it and it still was rough, bone spear, led the way along with poison nova, corpse explosion, now in d2r I think minions are more viable which is great to see but they still don't sit at the top.
@@riktorGaming minion AI is bad but u can use curses to direct ur minions from the first curse used so if stuff is dying u can control them alot better now than before where u couldnt do anything
@@cyix2420 Curses don't direct the minions, they just engage whatever target they want to attack.
Great video as always. However, you did not mention Hydra! It got buffed just like all minions. Rob made a video discussion a firewall/hydra build that I am VERY interested in but can't find very much detailed information on. Would love a breakdown video on it from you or anyone at maxroll.

Haven’t played the game since pre season 1. Was just too discouraged. But kept watching your vids and keep an eye on the state of this game. I think season 4 is the time to come back. Appreciate your informative content. Keep blasting.
I plan on rolling Rogue. Pretty excited to try out the barrage build and see how well it does. I think the rogue is going to surprise us, especially with the new uniques that are available. Should be a great time, looking forward to it!

Thanks for another great season ranking Rax! I am curious to see how the endgame turns out given that the changes to armor. It seems Blizzard is making the characters very strong at content of their own level but defensively weaker for endgame content.
Personally, I play Sorc. There are so many great options though... I played in the PTR and in my opinion it is a big step up from season 3.
I can't wait to finally play Necro in a D4 season.
I had the impression that the even-numbered seasons were going to be good.
Fingers crossed, I really hope that it's going to be a blast.

Like others here, I have always appreciated your respect for casuals. I'm basically a casual no-lifer, so it's really helpful to learn what might work for me each season. I don't always follow your build guides, but if I find I'm really struggling, it's nice to have a resource for different builds to try out. Keep up the good work!

Has your stance changed on minion AI, did they finally improve it? I couldn't find anything saying it was improved but I know it was notoriously bad before when trying to just clear regular monsters on the map (won't have any issues attacking bosses though)

One thing I'd love to see, and even be willing to pay for, is a level 100 Hardcore PvP tournament. You and other content creators duke it out to the death, and whoever comes out on top will get 2-300 bucks or so. Would be cool if more people chipped in for a fatter pot, but we'd have to coordinate...

Question about the packaged item for this season, do we have them only on the first charcacter ? Or if i play barbarian first i will have my dust devil, and if i rerol necro i will have my minion items ?

Funny part is 2 big youtube content makers (Raxx-Rhyker) made with Devs interview nobody asked them about Duping-Trade issues happening since Duriel boss meta appeared into their game.

Hey Rax, do you know if Shadow Clones for rogue will be considered as companions and will inherit the stats of the player? My season 1 rogue was a shadow clone shadow twisting blades build with dash and back stab… absolutely was underrated and bonkers back then, I’m hoping my rogue just got beefed up with this change

Same. The Casual category is probably the most important for me, as I typically only get an hour, hour and a half to play in the evenings, and a few hours to play during the weekends.

I have a bit of an issue understanding some things, though.
At the end I saw you ranked Necro in Season 2 as five. I played Blood Lance Necro in S2 and went through everything almost unkillable. So this is not meant as a critique or saying that you dont know what you are talking about - you clearly do.
I just have a bit of a hard time wrapping my head around that piece of information.
My vote is for sorcerer this season. Awesome helltide farm builds. Awesome speed. Quite the diversity in your build choices(freeze evade, teleport dmg & aoe, frozen orb, blizzard, fireball, generators and many more i missed). Just pure fun and enjoyment from level 1 until end game.
I'll be trying the new Rogue this season for sure!

Hey raxx, have you heard anything about a holy class? Remember back in d3, they talked about the Templar in the lore books. Where did they go? I heard rumors of a priest class. Great video, keep up the good work.
I haven't played since prior to season 1. One thing I do miss kind of miss was the start of the season starting guides and doing your seasonal challenge before you start your character, going and getting the kenai's cube, augmenting one legendary item then using your bloodshards at a chance of getting a decent legendary to help with leveling. I think this should be in some way implemented again with the obdol's. Do something with the new crafting system in season 5 to craft an item that would help a low level character, but falls off late game like a reduced level requirement rolled item.
I almost never do minion Necro, but I may give it a go. It's so hard not to go with corpse explosion. It's just so satisfying putting together the endless chain reaction of explosions when the build really gets going.
Any chance that the Barb Leveling Guides on Maxroll will get updated before the Season? would be soo nice

so for season 4 as I understand it, but im old and well my memory is fading lol, when you log in will there be like a starting quest for the season like past seasons or is it just skip campaign, start on world tier 2 and go Leroy Jenkins on the open world ???
Coming back to the game, haven't touched it since Season 1. It looks like the game is finally in the state it should have been at launch, and I'm very excited!
thanks for this. I was planning on going Sorc Frozen Orb, but I might start with Necro and then either do ww barb or sorc fo second. Some said that Necro is pretty slow due to the fact that minions just target random mobs.
Still gonna play my Sorc, and Lightning Druid. I don't care about being the number one, I want to enjoy the journey, which they made it even easier.. duh..

Thanks for your thoughts, Raxx. I guess I'm going Minion Necro this season. I tried it in Season 2 and had a miserable time; so I'm hoping this season can wash out the sour taste that I still have from Season 2.
Question: Is the Shadowstep Rogue not good at survivability? I mean, you said that rogues are the worst survivability class... but I heard that the shadowstep rogue has more than 50% chance to dodge, plus the good movement speed and some good skills to hold him up. Idk. I haven't played this build yet, thanks for your attention.

opinions on the heartseeker rogue? not much video content about it but someone has a levelling guide where he is solely heartseeker by mid 50's but maxroll says its a 100 only build.
