ice video Vanessa. Like to see more videos like this. I would also like to request seeing videos of you on how to posing people for single and couples for portraits.
Thanks for great video, really enjoyed it. Fantastic tips on quick posing I do have one question, why use ISO400, why not drop shutter speed to 1/500 and ISO to 200 (or even 1/250 and ISO100)? Is there a specific reason why you used ISO400?
Hey Steve! This is a great question - personally I like to shoot with a fast shutter speed because I am SUPER shaky and I was having my bride and groom move around a bit as well. Blurry pictures drive me nuts so if I can shoot around 1/1000 I'm happy, even though 1/500 probably would've sufficed ;-)
Hi Vanessa - quick question: when you get your exposure, are you using spot metering? and do you meter on the groom's dark suit or the bride's light dress? Thanks! :)
I use live view! It gets it super fast for me because I can see what's going on and then take a shot and check my histogram. That and anytime I walk into a scene I can pretty much guess where my settings will be based on the light. :-)
+Vanessa Joy very nice! Tell you what, you get the II version and I'll buy your I.. Lol. I usually see the 1Dx used in sports, not so much in portraits. Interesting. Thanks for the reply..
On the 1st photos, she was positioned straight on instead of at an angle and her hand was cut off. Those are no nos. Remainder of poses are ok to good. Not the best poses.
I like watching your videos because they are straight forward and right on point. You show the results right away and show what settings you used. ♥️
Oh wow, that was fast and so many beautiful photos 😍
Love this workflow! Super effective and has great results!
Whoa...you just opened my eyes to more details in getting as many pictures in one pose.....pls upload more videos ...

Beautiful
How did you get the correct exposure so fast or did you get the exposure before filming.
I use live view! It gets it super fast for me because I can see what's going on and then take a shot and check my histogram.
That and anytime I walk into a scene I can pretty much guess where my settings will be based on the light. :-)
Thank You.. the video was very helpful.

Nice and easy.

What focus setting were you using Vanessa?
I use one point focus and move it around as a shoot - and quite quickly at that! :-) Thanks for the question!
And thanks for the answer! Just what I wanted to hear!
What is Calvin?
Me quiero casar
You should watch some Monte Zucker on how to do Bridal portraits. Because this is not very good.
