She sings these songs as though they were hers... Dami Im is Inspirational
this is the only singer i often watch and always amaze me...
When Dami comes out to perform, she makes all the hard songs seem so easy, she just sails right through them... Love it!
I know she's Australian, but she would've won the US X-factor, UK X-factor and every other X-factor in any country!
She's South Korean, moved to and living in Oz. Well, there may have been prejudice in the voting in UK and US, as witnessed by voting for Filipino acts.
@@aspenrebel Simon Cowell has ignored Dami also and i think he may either be racist or feels that anyone that is Asian looking cant sell records.
A artist like Dami comes along very rarely and she is ignored even by certain parts of the Music Industry.
When Dami won Xfactor and shot to #1 and also won aria awards , ARIA have never been asked Dami to sing at the awards yet they have had every other winner of Aria awards on their show, so Dami does not go to the awards, i dont know why Dami does not go to them any more but they are a sham and are Racist.
Prejudice is every where, even Australians pretty much ignore her talents as a whole and ignore her Music.

@@aspenrebel Dami is doing OK in Australia she is popular with the TV networks and she is also quite a bit on talk radio talking about her songs but the Music stations never play her Music.
She has and continues to perform at all the major events in Australia and also travels overseas to perform.
Dami left her label Sony Music at the end of 2019 to go solo because they would not allow her to write and sell her own Music but has since signed to ABC music in 2020.
So Despite what i have said Dami is doing very well for an Xfactor winner and is the only winner that is still around on all our networks, the only other is Sam jade but she is not seen as much as Dami.
Simon Cowell has taken under his wing Australian artists and is the reason i mentioned him.
My beef has always been about her Music sales and certain sections of the MI here ignoring her talents,
Dami is one of the most talented artist we have yet these entities ignore her.
Her vocal in this performance is JAW-DROPPING! Wooah!

Dami can sing anything and everything..
I have followed Dami's magical musical journey since her audition when she sang Hero, better than Mariah Carey. To me Dami is the very best anywhere in the world.
There is something so compelling about Dami's version of this song - I haven't figured it out yet - but I LOVE Dami's version! For some reason I'm remined of a line from U2's 'Get On You Boots' that goes "women of the future hold the big revelations." Maybe it's this performance where I saw Dami as a STRONG WOMAN emerge for the first time. I do believe, given Dami's persona, Dami will do AMAZING things beyond music for the world into the future.
I was right! Dami and Noah have just announced on Dami's FB page and Dami's Official web site they are selling DAMI ARMY t-shirts that Noah came up with for the XF show. 100% of the proceeds GOES TO CHARITY. BOTH Noah and Dami have HUGE HEARTS and bless us with their kindness and grace! I really think that Dami and Noah will PURPOSELY set about to make a difference in the world!

Clarity is a huge song in Oz. When I was visiting my dad there (I'am South African) That song played everywhere! I love it! :)
I don't really watch shows like the X factor - but, by chance, I switched in to watch THIS performance by Dami Im! WOW and double WOW. I thought, maybe, like so often, a singer can sing one song really well, but their other songs are 'ho-hum'. Then I saw her sing - One - Purple Rain - Roar etc. Just fantastic! SO I looked further. Right - now I get it. Honers degree in music, top rate pianist, composer , arranger (sheet music all notated, written out), plays jazz piano, also sings opera, (in Italian) - Ambassador for Compassion and a genuinely lovely person. A truly EXTRAORDINARY young woman.
Her singing can be appreciated even more with eyes closed, focusing only on the vocal, without the visual distractions. As she said herself, thank God for her gift.
Why would we not want to look at her, are you Korean and find her not up to your standards, she is Gorgeous.

@@tkim6527 i need to mention to you that Dami left Korea because they wanted to do surgery on her a story very few people know about her so it is a touchy subject.
Korea rejected her and Australia has taken her look and talent to heart.
We love her here.

Ah I love a good vocal and some synth. Her track Super Love is awesome!
She has contemporary fluidity in singing and her vocal power can enter a "diva" zone.

Took my car to Mercedes for checkup and Dami playing on the background music over and over in the wait room. Love her--love her-- love her.
Dami had so many great performances through the contest it's impossible to pick a favourite but I have always felt this was perhaps the best overall in total effect. She had to interact with the dancers for the first time. Then there was the set design, the dancers and their wardrobe, the choreography, the lighting and video effects synced to the song, the side panels of Dami at the start, stretching, which then moved to the back at the end.... All this and then on top of it Dami delivers a fabulous vocal version of this song. I have watched this performances so many times.... it's ridiculous.....but just so good. I am really disappointed to learn this song is not going to be on her debut cd. It should have been....

Totally agree with you. This performance was a highlight for me - so polished, so professional and so at ease. This was when I thought she has the potential to be the complete package internationally performance wise. I've just bought her album on Itunes and so disappointed to find it's not on there. Love the set design, choreography and composition of the whole thing. Amazing.

Mexico loves Dami Im. K Pop stars are prepared for years before their debut. Dami started without any training to perform in front to a big audience, that´s make her very special. May be she are not a good dancer but she does her best every time. Congratulations!!!!

Oh my! Here I am again watching Dami and it's now 2016. I hope she wins Eurovision. I've watched and listened to some of the contestants online and I believe it would be a tough competition. I wished I could vote.

I grew up in the 60's, I heard all the "legends"...they were my staple for decades after. Yet, from the moment I heard Dami Im, she left me speechless. Her "look", her voice, her "presence" is beyond description. This O-G cannot get enough of her!
me also ken I am 70 and like you listened to that music I gave up on hard rock and all that followed till 3 years ago when I saw Dami on toutube she really brought music back in my life listen to her and her mother Helen sing opera on youtube sing nella fantasia to all the great jazz songs she wrote and composed before x factor she sings in 5 languages writes many gospel songs and you can really tell how she brings fans from all over the world this year alone she sang twice to over 2 million people once in China and once in Sweden I am a member of the Dami Asmy and damn proud of it
Her remarks upon winning the competition were revealing. She credits God for her voice and is determined to sing for His Glory. Just goes to show singing for the Creator isn't limited to Sunday School songs.

In that same concert, she sang "Amazing Grace" beautifully. Also, I recommend that you take a listen of "This Is My Desire" before her X-Factor fame. Her voice has an ethereal quality that you just feel it in your heart.

Not a hard pop song listener, but when I listen her pop songs, I got into them and really, really touched. I didn't totally expect it. Dami has a purity in her voice, in who she is, in how she carries herself that she is already a winner. Look at her reactions with each comment and one cannot help but fall in love with her. I am in the U.S. and can't buy her music yet but I certainly would if I could. She is the best.

Dami is probably the best act I've ever seen on this show... she's got an incredible talent, she constantly behaves in a professional manner, she's always conscientious about learning the lyrics properly and getting the song right, and she nails it every single time... I would totally go to her concert and buy her albums...!
