FREE Pattern Sew Along / Helen's Closet Orchard Dress and Top / Beginner-Friendly Sewing Tutorial 🧵

Watch as I make a perfect dress/top for warmer weather. In this video, I am sewing the dress version, but the construction is the same for the top -- just omit the pockets.
For the top, I cut the front and back pieces mirrored, instead of on the fold, adding a 1/4" seam allowance to attach and play with stripe direction.

I'll show you the full process of how I've sewn this pattern -- from the arm and neck bindings to the pockets.
I have used lightweight cotton woven for the dress, and a more structured linen for the top.
