try it and start a training routine, you'll quickly notice how good it is and you'll enjoy it and perhaps you won't want to be without it anymore. Start with small goals and then they will grow over time, such as your muscles, strength, state of alertness, body awareness, a healthier more useful diet, not forgetting mental strength and so on. Don't just think about it, go do it.

In March it will be 3 years since I started consistently lifting. The first 2 years I didn’t take my diet/cardio seriously because I was ignorant and figured since I was lifting hard I didn’t need to do it.. Finally after 2 years of maintaining 280-300lbs bodyweight, I decided to make a change, and in February of this year I finally started taking my cardio/dieting seriously. The results are insane, and it really wasn’t that much effort. My mile time was crunched from 16 minutes to clocking my personal best of 8:30, lost 70lbs in the process, and still maintained a majority of my strength. Went from not being able to do pulls ups to now being able to rep out a few, could only do a few dips, can now do a few sets. The difference is amazing. Main point is, do your cardio, enjoy your strength training, be conscious of your diet. Rinse and repeat!

I can honestly say that I can’t recall a time I skipped cardio after a lift. Granted I’m already pretty drained after lifting so I only go for 10-15 minute’s depending what kind of cardio I’m doing.
