Good decision at the end of the day. You may not be found if something happened. And recording yourself ducking is like stone cold proof of your trespass. Lov watching your vid. Great skiing.
I am fortunate to have been able to ski Alta Snowbird frequently since 1989. When skiers start talking about challenging terrain I always think about the Cirque at Snowbird. Just skiing the traverse to get to the runs is more challenging than so many so called double black Diamond runs inside some resorts. This is legitimate no fall zone terrain on the Cirque. You did a excellent job 👍👍🙏🙏⛷⛷
Wow what a surprise!. I just got back from snowbird yesterday after missing many years. So beautiful. I’ll always call this my “home ski mountain “ Been going since 85 , however the last 10 years , i couldn’t make it. So to come back after a long hiatus and see the upgrades and high speed everything , new tram, etc., while staying the “same” ,it was amazing. I love this mountain in so many ways. I even lived in Aspen for 2 years( loved 3 of the 4 mountains ) but Snowbird has that special place for me that has me calling it home. You guys did a great job and Snowbird justice. Great drops in Great Scott and Shot 15 … and the video so crystal clear. Fun seeing your day in the life at Snowbird.
Great Scott has been pretty interesting the last few weeks. Yes, Baldy was firing! Super wind buffed and ripping. Those people should have their tickets pulled. Typically the rope is up after ski patrol goes through to do a sweep. Violating like that will make Ski Patrol keep terrain closed.
great scott was definitely tricky but man what a run! and im bummed i didnt get up to baldy but my mistake for waiting until the last minute! i figured ski patrol had already went through there so i was a bit confused as to why they so nonchalantly ducked the rope. i appreciate all mountain ops so i think collectively we have a duty to respect them and oblige even if we think otherwise. thanks for watching, drew!
Ahh gee. You park your Van where I used to live, most enjoyable years. (600+") 😍 Real bummer to run into a rope where you don't expect it. If you know the mountain well you can predict it pretty well but not so easy for a visitor. Good call to respect the signage, it is in the long run to your benefit.
It's apparent the confidence that shows skiing at what you may consider your home resort. I've noticed this in myself. Love the videos because they are relatable to the average skier who skis resorts rather than the typical backcountry adventure style videos.
