day 59 - massive thank you to CMH Purcell for making this whole trip possible! even though we couldn't fly, we still had an unreal 2 hours ripping around kicking horse!
Was lucky enough to ski KHMR and CMH last year - 2 days of each. Puked for 2 days at the resort (35 cm's) then the weather cleared and we had 45 cm's of fresh and bluebird - zero wind. Skied 35,000 of vert in 2 days - Now I can't go back - it was too good and I got spoiled. Crew at CMH were top notch!
amazing as always, Lucas! So appreciative of your extraordinary skills as you navigated all those steep runs, you make it look so easy skiing walls! 🙌🏼
As an old skier I can verify that the effort you put into your skiing will provide you with great memories when you get older like me - and you will have no regrets.
I’d never heard of Kinking Horse, but looking at their ski map, it looks pretty sick. It must take an extra effort to ski with a group. But, in spite of the weather and the short day, well done!
Hope you enjoy the undisputed ski capital of the world.....especially cat and heli! Lived in Sandpoint where I thouroughly enjoyed all ski areas in Eastern BC and Alberta....favorite baller mountain is Fernie!!!!
6:10 Haha, the beaurocracy of riding in north american mountains... waivers, old skipasses, hyperactive ski patrols... When it comes to mountains, its actully Europe that is the land of the free. :D Wouldn't mind coming over and ride though! Awesome video, hope you get another chance at the heli skiing!
OMG - watching your vids & knowing those lines. So much more to explore @ Kicking Horse. Get under the ropes, backcountry, POW, shoots, shoots, shoots !!! Love it
Hate to make you homesick, but today is a classic example of why Alta is known for “The Greatest Snow on Earth”. Low crowd after the Holiday Weekend and blower light pow.
We are staying the Iron Blosam at Snowbird this week and these storms continue to over perform. Expected to wake up to clearing skies, but it’s still dumping. I’m from back east and watch all your videos. Thanks for keeping the stoke high.
I would say the visibility is not bad. I can see fairly far on this screen. When you cant see the chairlift in front, or behind you, that is zero. That was me and a buddy riding at Schweitzer in 97'. We prayed to to find some trees, just so we had some vantage point.
I am sooo sorry your trip to Canada has been less than ideal, what with the weather and lack of white stuff, but trust me, when the conditions are right, all the places you went to are fantastic...maybe you can plan for another excursion to Banff where you explore Sunshine Village and Mt. Norquay ( bring your "skinny" skis for Norquay!) Delirium Dive at Sunshine is no joke and you need all the avalanche safety gear, but I think you can handle it....
Dude-bro - check my comment post from your airport stream - I stated "FIT IN KICKING HORSE, YOU'RE RIGHT THERE". Plus one of my best friend's Colin Young was Director of Ski School but died in motorcycle accident in Golden. Ski School BELL MONUMENT in his honour (check it if still there). MUCH LOVE for the mountain & my friend. Hope you loved the tracks!! Insanely awesome experience & bucket list for any avid skier.
Shame about the helicopter, sure you'll get another chance in the future though. 6:39 Also do they still not have RFID lift passes at kicking horse? I ski mainly in Europe but have never been anywhere that doesn't have RFID, and I've been skiing since I was a kid in 2008.
Glad you enjoyed kicking horse - my 3rd season out here and it’s an unreal mountain! Next time when you’ve got a longer day check out the main boot packs to Terminator 1/2, Ozone, and Mini Ridge. The mountain totally opens up for those willing to hike for it!
Lucas love the videos. Question: is the attachment you use for the go pro max on the front of the helmet a plain old gooseneck from GoPro or something else?
Big White was Awesome. Thighs are shot. Was going to go to Jackson Hole. We just could not make it happen. Corbits bucket list drop will have to wait until next year. Looks like you made some fun out of nothing and had a great group to shred with. Keep up the great content.
"Spirits are high" Really sounded like trying to convince yourselves of that... Must be hard to switch gears and lower expectations after getting grounded on Heli day, but you guys seemed to get some good vert in and get it done. No matter what, was a good experience it seems.
Great couple of hours of skiing- I liked how you included in the edit when the max must have hit something, changed the mount angle, and exposed the selfie stick- it happens
Lucas, ever since I saw one of your videos last February, you've motivated the shitaki mushrooms out of me to want to ski and become a better skier, I appreciate it lol
Yo Lucas I'm gonna watch this again later when it's quiet...the scenery looks so peaceful. Dude on that gnarly line you looked like you were skiing down a freaking wall lol...thanks again for including us with the new gang.
Loved the little interaction with the bro and that hit you posted on the gram. I’m gonna watch this again later on the tv. Love your videography and edits and story telling as always. I love skiing with people better than me too. It’s a great way to stretch and grow.
@@LucasCatania17 Sorry,... Complimenting you on scoring rad pow this season and couldn't tell but did the guy you were following just walk out of that ski and binding when he went mono ski? 😁
Canadians are so polite - eh? My legs are burning while I’m skiing vicariously through you! Nice ripping even though the visibility was so flat you couldn’t see shit. Thanks.
Hey Lucas I'd enjoy seeing or hearing what time it is throughout the day as the video goes on. I often find myself wondering how much time is left. I remember the video where you had an hour to ski as many runs as possible and you would say what time it was and it really added

thanks william! i sure hope so
I wann ago skiing so bad rn we made it home safe but also Lucas, we saw a moose while skiing at deer valley!
wow nice dude! moose are beautiful
I’m not even joking I probably would’ve shit myself listening to that avalanche safety talk, I could never go heli skiing 😂. Sick video 🤙🏻
haha its not that bad but he was super casual about it
I WORK HERE! Sad I didn't get to see you but glad you enjoyed our mountain!
Such a sick mountain!
I’d never heard of Kinking Horse, but looking at their ski map, it looks pretty sick.
It must take an extra effort to ski with a group. But, in spite of the weather and the short day, well done!
yeah lots of expert terrain and gnarly drops/cliffs!
Kicking horse is great, terrain is sick. Just check the weather before you come out as it can turn into a wall of ice.
I love her name of the resort.... Things are definitely getting kinky.. 😂😂 😂😂 of course this is all in fun not making fun of the author

cant beat our snow though ;)

nice dude!
Sucks that you couldn’t fly but kicking horse looks super sick and narly! Keep up all your hard work! Love the Canada mini series!
thank you josh! appreciate you watching bro
It is great to see that they are taking safety seriously.
of course
What an awesome mountain!
seriously so fun
Like I said, Kicking Horse rocks. Is CMH in Revelstoke too? I flew with Selkirk tengirs.
yeah! CMH has a few different locations around canada

Come to sun peaks😂🙏

Sorry weather conditions weren't right for the heli,, the experience is just being there...good or bad, Enjoy it!
exactly! there will be plenty of heli days in the future!
dude on a day like this you should totally switch to clear goggle's lenses but that's just my opinion
Dude I literally had clear lenses on
oh i must be blind haha 😂
the heli ski dude was so candian in explaining what to do in an avalanche😂 so polite
hahah i know he was so chill about it. like just hang tight well get you out

thank you brother! its awesome having the stoke squad along for the ride
Super fun shredding with ya Lucas. We definitely made lemonade with those conditions.
yes dude! you rip!
