Comiskey park is where the Chicago white sox play, named for White Sox founder and owner Charles Comiskey.the polo grounds was in upper manhattan,it was 450 ft to the wall so there were very few homeruns there.shea stadium was the first place the Beatles played when they were here for the first time.
The biggest cheapskate at the time.refused to give the bonuses he promised that's why the whitesox threw the 1919 world series he was known to people back then as stingy as f*** pretty much a penny pincher. The Sox would of probley won that series against the Reds that year
fun fact the king of prussia mall in the philly burbs has more retail space than the mall of america, moa is bigger because of like roller coasters and what not tho
Daz just has a knack for finding interesting videos to put on this channel. Every one has been very entertaining. Its great seeing just you and Aidan sometimes talking sports. Listen to your dad, Aidan, he has quite a lot of worldly experience and some knowledge in well, everything! lol... 🤠🤠
Baseball used to be the most popular sport in the country, so when the NFL became popular the biggest stadiums were baseball stadiums. NFL teams played in stadiums where baseball was the focal point and football was an afterthought. The raiders played in a baseball/football field until they moved to Vegas a couple of years ago.
until the early 90's alot of stadiums were multipurpose: MLB and NFL. Oakland had the last multi purpose stadium until Raiders moved to Vegas. The Marker at Atlanta County Stadium is for the spot where Hank Aaron's record breaking 715 home run (broke Babe Ruth) landed or better yet was caught on the fly.
In the early days of the NFL, the teams often played in baseball stadiums. A few teams played in dual-use football/baseball stadiums into the 2000s, including the Oakland Raiders before their recent move to Las Vegas. Additionally, college football was a much bigger deal than pro football when the NFL began in 1920, so some teams played at college stadiums. The NFL didn't really surpass college ball until the 1960s. There are some college teams who play their home games in NFL stadiums now. For instance, both the University of Miami and the Miami Dolphins play in Hard Rock Stadium.
Texas Stadium, the old home of the Cowboys, was in Irving and the site isn’t too far from DFW International Airport. AT&T Stadium is in Arlington, which is a Mid-Cities town. Arlington is also home to Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor (a HUGE water park) and Globe Life Field where the Texas Rangers baseball team plays. The Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars play in the American Airlines Center which is near downtown Dallas, and FC Dallas plays in Frisco at Toyota Stadium. The US Soccer Hall of Fame is now in Frisco, and houses the Women’s World Cup trophies and Olympic gold medals the women’s team has won.
The Pontiac silverdome when it was imploded did not fall the 1st time they had to do it twice. Now the Detroit Lions play at Ford field they are owned by the FORD Family owners of Ford car company.
Would love to see more college football atmosphere reactions. There are a bunch of newer compilations rather than the other normal ones people react too
They didn't show it here but Milwaukee County stadium was replaced by Miller Park. They are on same property, new stadium was built on old parking lot and old stadium is parking now. They left smaller field for kids on original location.
I went to the Kingdome many times as a kid when I lived in Washington state. I was sad to see it go. The Chargers played in San Diego for like 30 years before moving recently to LA.
San Diego Stadium was most commonly known as Qualcomm Stadium for the NFL San Diego Chargers. They tore it down and are building a university campus around a smaller stadium called Snapdragon Stadium, that is home to SDSU Aztecs college football, San Diego Wave women's professional soccer, and San Diego Legion professional rugby. Qualcomm also housed the San Diego Padres baseball team a long time ago, before they moved to Petco Park in downtown SD.
Kezar Stadium was the first home of the San Francisco 49ers, before they moved to Candlestick Park (which they shared with the San Francisco Giants baseball team). It's still used for sports activities like the city high school football championship games.
the Georgia Dome was the home of the Atlanta Falcons i watched the demolishing of it they put dynamite in parts of the dome, detonated them and the Georgia Dome collapsed to the ground in a billow of smoke, and built Mercedes-Benz Stadium, they're is video of the moment they detonated it on TH-cam
i went to the university of pittsburgh for a while, they left the home plate in the building on the floor with glass over it and a little plaque. always thought it was cool
Baseball existed long before the NFL and so many early teams played in baseball stadiums. The way the fields had to be configurated to fit meant poor sight lines. Some of those were temporary homes while new stadiums were being built but since NFL games were played there at least once, the video creator included them
The stadiums you weren't familiar with that the video didn't name a location or weren't self explanatory: Busch (St. Louis) ,Comiskey (Chicago) both used by the Cardinals. Kezar & Candlestick in San Francisco Tiger & Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit Memorial Stadium in Baltimore(Colts) Polo Grounds (NYC) Giants Riverfront Cincinnati Shibe Park (Philadelphia) Griffith( Washington DC)
Riverfront Stadium was in Cincinnati, the Reds and Bengals both played there. They tore it down and built Great American Ballpark for the Reds and Paul Brown Stadium for the Bengals.
The Hubert H Humpry Metrodome, that was replaced by US Bank stadium, never should have been built in the first place. It was a piece of crap…I can say that because I grew up there. 😂
NFL teams played in all of these stadiums there was early in the league history Baseball stadiums were the only option available and then in late 60s and 70's multi use stadiums became all the rage
All those 'cookie cutter' circular stadiums were the "thing" back in the 1960's, designed for both MLB and NFL, and totally devoid of any charm or ambiance. Eventually people got tired of boring and blah.
Brings back memories of my fav stadium s

Although I believe Mall of America is no longer the “largest mall in the world”, there’s one in Canada (Edmonton maybe?) that is now bigger.

Beatles' last concert was at Candlestick Park. The first stadium rock concert ever was in Shea Stadium (Beatles).

Biggest sport curses is a good one to react to.

Pontiac is suburban Detroit.

Tulane Stadium was home to the New Orleans Saints from 1967-1974. It held 81,000. The Saints moved to the Superdome in 1975.
Do Tulane even play In a 81,000 seat stadium now? Lol
