great video, but could you upload some more, showing how to use it, ie in a macro shot with movements, esp. with some info on the Rollei lens control and the lens/system you use.
The Ultima evolved into the Actus-XL. Same basic structure and mechanics, but it accepts the adapters of the smaller Actus cameras. This has the advantage that a whole range of cameras that wasn't available when the Ultima was introduced (late 90s) becomes adaptable.
that, is a studio stand, the rail, is a cross bar which has the "ball head" on it, but it is just a knuckle which adapts heads, and other accessories onto the stand, this is counterweighted inside the mast, like an iv stand at a hospital, but much stronger, the base has breaks to stop this 50+KG behemoth moving around, so a heavy monorail can be moved effortlessly by the knobs on the stand, to help with ergonomics and prevent strain, as this is designed for pro's who use this stuff all day. ( look up cambo, they do these too).

What is the telescoping rail system you have the camera mounted on. You slide it out in the fist few seconds of the video :)
