@Velzeff Zaflein Great input for the series. The reason I didn't use the isometric template because the tiles were evenly spaced to the grid. I wanted to show the viewers what to do if they run into tiles that are hard to perfectly align to the grid.

something else you can do with the grids- you can set the grid height to be the height to be the height of the top surface of your cube and set the grid width to be the with of your cube, then you do not need to do the math to figure out every single block. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial- Very Helpful!

Seriously, thank you for making this.
I have an idea for an isometric game that I want to make, but I wanted to prototype it first and I was struggling to figure out how to, as well as what art style I should go with.
It's kinda weird that GDevelop did confirm that isometric games can be made with this engine, but they don't have actual tutorials for it, as least I haven't seen any on their website or TH-cam page.

Thank you very much for this video. It's very hard to find specific tutorials for gdevelop. Keep up the good work.
Edit:- also can you create a tutorial for scene transition effects like fade out or wipe transition during scene change.

Hey buddy big thanks for such a thorough niche tutorial. I'm looking to build a 2.5d Isometric world with 3d characters and wondering if this, or some other platform would be a better fit.
I was hoping you could tell me - would this platform support point-and-click jumping? Imagine an environment where the character needs to jump over a lake or over to a rooftop, can I control where he lands by clicking on that area? As opposed to traditional space bar jumping.
And two, would this platform support a detailed 3d (glb) model for displaying equipment/accessories on the character? Say I want the character to wield two weapons and a helmet, armor, pants, boots etc. based on choosing my own equipment from inventory.

    Would really appreciate your insight!!

      1. Yes, Gdevelop is capable of programming this.
      2. Gdevelop can display 3d models (it only supports .glb) I would only recommend Gdevelop for your game if it is the only game engine you are experienced with and you have great foundational knowledge of Gdevelop. Gdevelop can 3D quite well when you have a good understanding of the engine. However, if you already know another game engine that has full 3D support, it would be much easier for you to make your game.

Sorry, but I discontinued this series months ago. It does seem I should do a revival of the isometric tutorial.

@@queuethegamedev Thank you for the response, I'm having issues with the diagonal movements and I'm really strugling to understanbd how could i resolve it, it works fine without the left and right movements, but as soon as I implement left and right it "loses" the diagonal animations.
