Great video, Graeme! It’s true, we collect these high-end figures (by and large) for the nostalgia factor and what they represent in a time in our lives. I know for me, I’ve based my purchasing decisions on how the figures play into my nostalgia.
Great story thanks for sharing, 1980 born here, i also collect for nostalgic reasons and memories, i am living far from my family and all these 80's 90's vibes are the motor that moves me through life and collecting 1/6. Man that Joker is a grail, saddly i sold mine (big mistake ) i hope Hot toys give us 2.0. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Thanks for sharing! I’m very curious to see if we get a joker 2.0. Everything from 89 is being reissued but not sure if they still have Jack Nicholson license.
@@thejediknightswatch yeah me too, some people say is because he doesn't want to sell his license or something, also he never gives interviews, it's a shame because he is a legend and this Joker is iconic, Hot Toys would have announced with all the Batmobile and Batman if it wasn't a problem, let's hope, do you imagine an artisan '89 Joker?
My collection started with 1/12 figures like Figma. It wasn’t until I stumbled onto hot toys purely by accident! Friend who worked at Disneyland took me along for my birthday. Went to Star Wars land and there was the last force awakens Kylo ren, snatched it right up before another lady did lol the rest was history, it’s awesome to collect pieces that mean a lot one way or another. Thanks for the the video and for sharing!
I loved Star Wars in the theater when I was 5 and became a huge fan. I lost track of it when I grew up. A few years ago I started buying Hot Toys because I was a fan of Snyderverse. When I saw the Star Wars Hot Toys available it rekindled my love for it and I am literally building an empire of figures now. I love this hobby. Thanks for all your cool videos and tips.
Great video! T2 and 89 Batman are two of my favourite movies ever. I’m also big into Star Wars. I always check out Wolfpack Wednesdays (but on replay because I live in The Netherlands 😂). Have a great weekend!
On nostalgia factor alone, I wish there were a market for other classic critically-acclaimed 80s movies like Amadeus and Platoon. If InArt made those, I’d get them in a heartbeat. They’re the movies I used to watch with my dad the most (even repeat viewings) 🥲 Since that’s not the case, I just collect my favorite sci-fi film and comic book characters in 1/6.
I hear ya! My dad was a huge influence on a lot of these things I love. I’m glad sideshow is making the Clint Eastwood figures as my dad loves him and I love a lot of his movies. Getting William Munny
80-90s are best years, nostalgic to the roof 😭
100% my friend! Good times
Always fun learning why people bought certain figures. The true meaning behind it is always so special
Thanks for watching Brick! I agree, I like seeing the personal side of people’s collecting😀
Ain't nothin better than the OT!
Spoken like a true gentlemen!

It’s really cool to be able to take a piece of your childhood memories and have it in your display to always hold onto

beautiful
Thanks!
I enjoyed this video. Made me think back to when I was a kid. Also made me think about how STAR WARS IS GOAT 🔥
Thanks for watching sneaker🤘🏻🐺
Likewise, with Star Wars. 80s & 90s nostalgia in general.
Good times! I remember when dvds were the thing and my parents told me I should burn movies. I was like, you did this with VHS all the time!
@thejediknightswatch 😂 If you really wanna go back, remember Blockbusters and HMV used to be the place for VHS.
@@mitchelllawrence2798 loved going to blockbuster
@@mitchelllawrence2798 I found my my Blockbuster card in my old wallet!
