Hi Mark!!! Thanks for this video! What type of wood do u use for them to chew please? I don’t know what to get and what is safe to get. Thank you so very much! Aloha!!!
Thank you so much for the video was very helpful. If i may ask. I Introduced a male African Grey to a four year old Female African Grey that i raised since she was a few months old. Is it possible for them to breed even though she is very attached to me ? They have been showing signs of interest like kissing and i have placed a nest box in their cage just in case. But one year in and nothing. Keeping in mind she hangs out most of the time freely in the house with the family. and just goes back in the cage with him at night.
So glad you enjoyed the video. Typically it isn't advised to pair a heavily imprinted bird for breeding but it seems that she is starting to bond with your male. I would slowly decrease the amount of time that you handle her to allow for her to properly bond with the male. That said, if she appears distressed not being able to interact with you and your family, I would stop the breeding attempt all together and let her naturally bond with the male over time. This could take years.
So basically you give them an apartment «without finishing» so they can sort it out themselves 😆 Maybe some developers don’t just cheap out, they’re trying to incentivise people to breed with all the redecorating 😂
Ya know, this is great. Sometimes we get complacent and forget the little things like this to stimulate the pair. NICE video.
Thank you so much!!
I don’t even breed parrots but this is fascinating, now I understand why dark spaces and chewing them increase sexual behaviors in pet parrots
I really appreciate your comment. You're absolutely right! Parrots are truly amazing creatures.
Great advice!
Thank you!!

Sounds about right! 🤣🤣🤣
What type of wood?
Untreated Pine works well. You can also buy wood chunks pre-cut at birdsetc.com
