Bought a Panda 1.1L 2010 2 weeks ago after my Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.2L died 🥺 she was my first car and I absolutely loved her, but my gosh I love zipping around in my new panda! City mode is so fun! Love the colour of yours. Mine is a very dark blue. Also, before seeing this I felt like I was driving an 'ugly' and 'old' car... but now, I realise how quirky and cool it actually is. Loved this vid! ❤️
I've had my 2011 Panda for nearly 4 years and love it too. The reason I'm replying is you mention City mode, please be aware that Fiats with that fitted can have that system fail on them by breaking the motor and it's not a cheap fix, about £6-700 if I remember correctly. The reason for the failure is because owners are not aware that City mode is only to be used up to 15 mph, not constantly so they break the motor by overloading it. Enjoy your Panda, they're awesome, I'll be replacing mine with another one, they're that good.
My 08 Active that was my first car had the city steering problem, we just learnt to live with it by turning the car on and off as it would then fix itself as it was a hefty repair bull! And in regard to your comment on feeling it was an ugly car, I had those comments throughout high school but never let it get me down! And I ended up winning best first car in sixth form cause of my love for it 😅
I love these Pandas as they remind me of the Renault 4… Not boring at all! I have had five, the first bought in 2005 and been the most reliable cars I’ve ever owned.
😍🐼 Brought my white fiat Panda, brand new, in 2011 when I passed my driving test. She is sitting on my drive right now, still going strong. I love 🐼🐼🐼🐼 Dreading the day she gives up on me.
Great purchase! I've always been a fan of all generation Pandas and Puntos, having owned a low mileage Mk2 Punto a few years ago. I would love to see more content on this car such as a proper road test and particularly the double din head unit upgrade 😊
Thank you! We plan to do a proper review of it in the future, as we both know them well! And also one on the head unit, as people seem to like the plucky little Panda!
Love this generation of Panda as well, not just the first generation. I'm half tempted to get one as soon as my leasing ends on my current car. This generation of Panda is often forgotten sadly. Great buy. Enjoy it.
Thank you! Yes I was the same, I debated a newer car on a lease / finance but these are available for good prices and think they are great value for money!
I bought a 2005 169 a couple of years ago. It had only done 22K miles (it’s nearly on 40K now!) I got the timing belt changed asap. Since then I’ve added a tow bar (54hp just enough power to tow a camping trailer), pioneer S420BT mechless head unit, Alpine sxe 1750 speakers, In Phase under seat sub, Vredestein all season tyres. Nice cheap motoring!
Great to hear, yes the radio is a needed change I think just a bit more infotainment and I’ll be happy! I upgraded the speakers in my old 100hp, and it sounded great! Cheap motoring is also another massive bonus!
@@OGCars I’d love to have a 100hp. Mine is a 1.1 Active! The original owner opted for colour coded bumpers and an alarm ( like who’s going to nick it 😂)
Personal opinion but I think for the price bracket they are built very well! My new one in the video is 14 years old and there are no creaks / noises at all when driving!
@@OGCars I really want the custard yellow, or dark metallic blue, 169 Dynamic Eco. My current daily is an X-reg Astra Estate, and tbh, I don't need a car that big. I love Fiat and want to go back to simple, honest, happy driving. I agree with the infotainment system, I'll be swapping in a double din :) Really made me happy that you've got a Panda again!
I bought it last year 2012 Panda Skyblue with only 26k millage Now It is done 40k miles and I must say it is a good car for city drive, cheap economic ect. However small engine 1.2 are just not enough to driving in Welsh province wich I do driving from Welshpool to Bala to Work Aslo you can not open boot from inside of car and I dont have ciggaret socket for my mobile phone... Bigger mirros you've got becaue a lot of Polish costumers complained about small mirros. And I am glad that specific model was made only in Poland my home country.
Considering we went from a 700cc to the 1.2, it feels considerably faster - but the 1.2 does better being revved out for hills etc. Which model do you have? Only the base models didn’t have the cigarette lighter, as ours does! And yes the wing mirrors were made bigger as many found them small, just personally think the smaller ones look much better!
I did the screen upgrade on my 100hp many years ago and was able to do it myself with no experience, so I would say relatively easy yes! I’m ordering an apple car play screen for this soon, so can report back on how that goes!
I sold it to someone when I bought my 124 Spider, they traded it against an Abarth, it ended up going to Ireland and sadly never heard of or seen it since 🙁
@OGCars Oh no. I live in Ireland. Maybe I can find it for you. Hopefully it's shill going. Do not see too many of them Pandas here just the cheap ones and the Panda Cross ones.
I bought my Panda from new 15 years ago, still going strong ,great cars
That’s great to hear! A family member has owned all generations of the Panda now, and it’s her favourite car 🙂
One of James May's favourite cars !
Yes, he always has one, so can’t be all that bad 😀

Yes I’ve never had a big problem with any of the 169s I’ve owned, Fiats get a bad rep but the Panda proves otherwise!
I did have a 2012 Panda and it was a great little car.
These are absolutely not boring.
Thank you, really enjoying it so far!
Looks like a great purchase. Cheap to tax, run and keep cars are perfect to have in a car fleet. Hope this one sticks around a while.
Thank you! It will be sticking around for sure 🙂
best car ever made😍 pandino
Considering we currently have many Pandas, we couldn’t agree more!

Bought a new panda in 2014. It was the most reliable car I've ever had. I couldn't believe how well it was made inside and out.
Personal opinion but I think for the price bracket they are built very well! My new one in the video is 14 years old and there are no creaks / noises at all when driving!
Nice guys..rare colour! I've bought 2 this year, both are dream colours/editions for me! Look forward to more vids..👋
Thank you!
This is literally what I'm replacing my Astra for. I'm looking forward to having a Panda😊
Ooo exciting times, which Panda are you going for? 🙂

Hello Miss , I do like these little cars alot and would like one myself . I have driven one before and loved it .
Thank you! They are great to drive - good visibility, easy to drive and park etc. I think they’re great!
Great little cars great fun .
Yes they are!
Congratulation for video!!! Very good!!!
Thank you very much!

Looking at getting a panda for my first car. The infotainment system was the only thing putting me off. Is it easy to swap it out?

What happened to your Panda 100bhp?

I’ve got the 4x4 version of this model ….
We had one around 2 years ago, great cars!
Nice cheap car to run
Absolutely!
