"The title track of our upcoming album, „Hail The Abyss“, turned into a sharp and pushing composition that blends a balanced mix of black and death metal. The record turned out as we hoped it will, and the video produced by Grupa13 (Behemoth, Kreator, Arch Enemy) might be the most iconic clip we came up with in our 20 year long lasting career.“

I saw them live in Joliet Illinois, one of the best concerts ever! Along with Obscura, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Wolfheart.

Definitely picked up on the Dissection vibe. I'd say that's a bigger influence over the other two.

Love this band, saw them two weeks ago in Joliet, and they were totally amazing live, since then, they have been on my playlist.
All the guys in that band are super talented. Seeing Steffen get on stage twice in one night with Tulcandra & Obsucra was awesome! Can't stop playing his music since the show myself. Great tour with Fleshgod.

Was heartbroken when they couldn’t play after sound issues at San Francisco in February. I’ve been waiting until then looking forward to listening to the new album today! Please come back to San Francisco! I’ve seen many like myself with a Thulcandra shirt at the concerts around here.

Meine Lieblinge - Fehlkauf ausgeschlossen. Ich finde es gut, dass man zwar nach wie vor an DISSECTION erinnert aber nicht zu einem Klon verkommt (wie auf den ersten beiden Alben, die ich ebenfalls abgöttisch liebe). Da steckt schon eine Menge Eigenständigkeit drinnen. Sehr gut auch, dass man nicht mehr bei V.Santura aufnimmt, dessen Produktionen mittlerweile echt übel klingen (siehe letzte DARK FORTRESS, THE SPIRIT ec.).
Das hier klingt schön atmosphärisch.
Freue mich auf das Album.
Großes Lob auch an Napalm Records, dass das Album als DigiPac und nicht im Digisleeve erscheint.
Ich finde das letzte The Spirit album ist ihr bestes.

This is good for what it is but what’s special about it really? Same snarling vocals and buzzsaw guitar licks. Same evil imagery in the video. Im sorry but black metal is boring to me. It’s like watching the same clown car crash into a brick wall over and over again. I guess it’s just not for me? 🤪

Sounds that way, and that's all well and good. Think about how hamburgers are everywhere. Everyone follows the same basic formula of bun, meat, cheese, but there are countless variations. I enjoy them on a relatively frequently basis, and it never gets old. Someone who doesn't like burgers wouldn't enjoy the same regimen, and that's OK.
