The potteries used to be a vibrant if dirty city, born in 1953 when it was alive and full of hard working characters. Now I’m afraid it’s a dead city of shops and warehouse’s with little or no industry a very sad place 😳

Oh ... so disappointed not to see the locations in the subtitles. I was a student in Burslem in the 60's, and will always have a deep emotional connection with Stoke. If anyone can give me the locations of these places ... pls do ...

@@si002 Time stamp 5:44 shows City Road (used to be High Street up to the early 50's) looked down from Standard Street (used to be Wellington Street). The Newton pub is visible on the right, the Terrace Inn is directly opposite.
