    I lived in and worked those streets from 90-95 after leaving Boston.
    I was hit with Narcan at least 6 times at Episcopal and detoxed at Kensington Hospital so many times that they blacklisted me.
    I've been robbed, beaten and raped twice down there. I ended up in JFK after a bad car accident and was detoxed after which I agreed to a long term program up in the Poconos.
    THERE IS HOPE!! I've been clean since 95 and went to work in the field of addiction, getting people into detox.
    I JUST found this page now and it REALLY keeps it green for me!!
    Thank you Frank for ALL that you do!! We NEED a LOT more caring people like you on the front lines!!
    MUCH RESPECT AND APPRECIATION to you!!
    Your sister in recovery, Sue

      @@kathydawson3301 I'm sorry for your loss. I have a sister and couldn't imagine the pain I could have put her through. Nothing can take away that pain. However you need to remember something. It's okay to be sad that hes gone, but dont forget to be glad he existed. People that say time heals are lying. Ny father committed suicide. The loss of someone special doesnt get easier. But you can make your own day brighter. Take any negative energy, rage, hate, loss, and make it positive. Even though we experience these trials through life, learn from them. Make yourself stronger from what happend. Maybe help people like yourself. Give back to the world. Share your story, not necessarily of hope, but of your experience, and how you survived through it. I felt as if I had to tell you this. Unfortunately I'm an empath, and I feel you have work to do for people like me.

    When you've walked in the shoez of others. Lived, suffered and endured the hardest of times of your life. And to go back and show love and to show that nothing is impossible for christ and the inner strength that we all have inside our souls. Is something so wonderful that because now you have overcame that phase of your life you are going back caring for others and showing them that they can too become well again. Getting on drugs may be choice and as humans we all make mistakes but once you fall into that dark hole with your face down it's really hard to dig yourself up again. God bless you and may he continue to do his work in you and for having love for others.

    I FEEL what your doing man. Idk about god but this is God's work. You touched on something that I've not heard a lot of other people mention in recovery and to me it's the most important thing, you said "this keeps it green for me". I've always said that I try to keep that feeling close to my chest, I dont ever want to forget what it was like out there. It's real easy to look back on the pockets full days, on the dope whores, on the FUN. But I try to never forget what sleeping in those parks was like. What waking up sick in the morning, freezing and wet, with nowhere, nothing, and no one. What going through it in a cell over and over and over was like. How fucking bad it is in the end. That's what keeps me on my path every day. My wife and I both have 8 years clean and going strong. Keep doing what your doing brother, people judge what they dont know, and other than living it this is the only way to raise awareness, and hopefully breed some compassion. Much love.

    • @tonirod88
      @tonirod88 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congratulations to you and your wife.. it IS HARD.. I’ve shot dope since 2011.. been in and out of methadone programs.. in and out because I relapse, n my heart and mind.. I WANT to be sober.. I WANT to have a good life for my kids and I.. I just DONT KNOW WHY I KEEP RELAPSING. Currently I’m on methadone.. almost 2 yrs this time around.. yea, I’m not shooting dope anymore.. but now I’m smoking/snorting “ice”.. meth. I’m not sure what to do anymore.. I’m happy that I put the needle down.. but picked up the bowl.. I have NO ONE to talk to, vent to, to give me encouragement or just advice.. my husband of almost 20YRS tells me that even tho I’m taking methadone, in his eyes, I’m STILL A DOPE FIEN cuz he thinks they are the same thing.. also he believes with EVERYTHING in him, that doing dope is a CHOICE. He says I do it and depend on it because I “want to”.. he KNOWS the trauma I lived from childhood (which 95% is suppressed).. up until THE DAY WE MARRIED,(he was my across the street neighbor).. but STILL says it’s.my choice.. it’s hard for me.. either way, sorry for all that.. I just REALLY WANTED TO CONGRATULATE YOU AND YOUR WIFE AND TO SAY WELL DONE AND I HOPE YOU GUYS STAY FOCUSED AND CONTINUE TO SUCCEED..

      Maybe even Shaun Atwood (not sure if I spelt Atwood correctly- it may be Attwood but people that are invited on his platform all end up with many more people subscribing to their channels. That would be pretty cool. He’s across the pond now, but served prison time for trafficking ecstasy in Arizona, he has a “True Crime” podcast and then he also does videos on Epstein, the Royals, Madeline McCann, etc. he probably would see this as a worthwhile interview!

You are giving them a voice, and with that comes understanding and compassion. Angels are walking around amongst us and you are one. Keep doing what your doing. Much needed.

    you are doing great work, people are very quick to judge. I have worked with people who have serious addictions, however I see past the addiction and see what they were before addiction. Its difficult enough to quit smoking cigarettes...imagine being in the right state of mind to try to come off heroin etc. Its not easy and may take several attempts and what can help you to pull through is your support system, sadly most families lose contact with the very people that need their support so they continue to lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. For that one person you manage to help, you have done great. People don't realise that at any given time in life you can find yourself in a situation you never thought you would be in...love and blessings from London x
