Hello Pete and Lee. I just received The Dane MKII from Anderton’s. Thank you so much Pete for signing it for me. That makes your amazing pedal even more special. I have been playing The Dane with my Ibanez AZ2204 into a Marshall DSL40 with some reverb and compression. Pete, your pedal sounds absolutely amazing. From beautiful, boosted cleans, to a super articulate growl with the humbucker and single coils. I highly recommend this pedal. I love watching you videos on Anderton’s and your channel. Thanks again Pete. PS-Will be in the UK in March and will be visiting Anderton’s on my first day.
The housing and interface are aestheticly pleasing. That purple and black look killer! "Look good, feel good, play good."
Bought my Dane because everyone who hears Pete wants his tone, also got a Peter Honore signed one! Along with my reverb, it's turned out to be my most used pedal. Awesome sound.
Pete notes a great video series idea. Suggestions on pedals per type of guitar. So many vids feature strats. Would love to see top 3 pedals as of 2023 for Strat singles, Tele pickups, p90, filtertron/broadtrons, humbuckers etc..
Legit, it could be something epic, for those that don't own one of each.
I can tell you my classic Tele, Gretsch, super strat, and classic strat all sound very different with the same pedal and amp

For me it’s playing styles too - so many demos feature the sort of noodling I’d fool around with at home but in a band I’ll be playing completely differently.
You read my mind Pete! I was thinking right before you said it that a challenge of some sort or someway that sonically shows which pedals go best with different types of guitars and vice versa

This looks fantastic. I've got the Heavy Water. Wonderful versatile pedal. One side is always on and the other goes on to drive the amp more. A fuzz face before and fiddling with the guitar volume knob gives a huge range of gains with just 2 pedals.
These are all really good changes for version 2. The smaller size, the clipping modes, all good. The demo sounds excellent.
Very good sounding pedal and demonstrates how beneficial it is to work with a guitarist that knows what works and has a great ear. Love the 12 o'clock knob position as a good home base.
Glad you mentioned that Pete, having a show about what pedals go great with different guitars because one OD will not sound good on ALL of a person's guitars, that is the reason I have so many different ODs on my board, different ones work better on different guitars. SOMETIMES you get lucky and a drive works on a lot of different guitars but not all of the time! Shout out to that cake maker too! WOW

Hi! I have the Heavy Water and am considering another one for a separate board, but I’m torn between it and the Dane Mk2. Can the Dane’s od side get pretty dark, or is it as bright as the heavy water? Would you say it’s got a lot more gain compared to the heavy water with both sides on? Thanks in advance :)

I had the dane v1 for a few years - I ended up selling it a few months ago and it wasn't an easy one to part ways with. The v2 seems to have made some pretty practical upgrades to the v1.

Looks like a similar form factor for the Victory V1 pedals + footswitches. I LOVE my V1 Duchess . Sounds like my Princeton on 7 but not too loud for the room. The new Dane seems like a great companion.

Definitely adds quite a bit of midrange. Sounds like a tubescreamer with more gain and smoother clipping.

Hi!! Love your videos, I think you could make a video about the best beadroom gear under a 1000! Most of us are bedroom players and sometimes its really hard to get nice tones at beadroom levels, especially for me because I love Fuzz effects...

The Dane's od always felt like and SD1 to me, never got along with the boost side because it's just too much but this new take might just be the right dose for me.

Have always been interested in The Dane but the real estate on my modest size pedal board is always at a premium. The MkII has solved that issue - time to rustle up some pedal tokens!
Edit… just got it this week and loving it, great pedal. The boost is going to be always on. As Pete says, why would you turn it off?
Five years. Unbelievable. This is why I stay away from mirrors. Never left my board even once. Can't say the same for many other superb pedals. Need to get the MkII to That Pedal Shop post haste!
I have The Bunker which is fantastic, wonder how The Dane stacks up to it? I guess the Dane is more Transparent and flatter EQ wise

Wow 5 years hard to believe? I was kind of hoping this one would be a bit heavier more geared towards the metal guitarist!!!? All good anyways! Great video as always Mr Lee and Mr Peter. Pedal sounds good probably not the type of pedal somebody who plays metal would use except possibly as a boost, but it would be definitely in a limited fashion. Great pedal nonetheless. As far as rock or just overall enhancement of your guitar I think it's a good pedal! But hey, Lee I heard that KDH had brought up some bullshit about you owning or being part owner of victory amplification. It's all fine and dandy to me. In other words I never had an issue with what you were doing with the amps You seem to treat everything with a pretty even keeled attitude! Anyways hey is there anyway you guys might be giving out coupons or discounts for Victory amps???? I've been wanting one for at least 4 or 5 years!!! They are such kick ass amps!! I really love the Kracken!!! Anyways just wondering if maybe in the near future or if there's a way to get coupons or a discount code to purchase one at Sweetwater or maybe even from andertons although your price is tend to be a bit higher. Not taking anything away from Anderson's I love your music store! Anyways great video Thanks again and maybe I will get a reply.

Of all of the youtube gear and guitar shows on the interweb, Andertons TV featuring Lee and Pete is by far my favorite. I love the banter, the jokes but most of all the experience and understanding of what sounds good... Lee and Pete are the only combo I take the take to watch... My only disappointment is that Lee took the time to respond to the LOSER who called him into question for the mystery of Victory Amps. Lol Buy and invest in whatever you want Lee... I hope you end up a zillionaire because it's obvious you love what you do... and so do I. Thank you for taking the time to share Anderton's with the USA.
What is the Dane circuit based on originally?Lee tried to ask but didn't get an answer the guy starts talking about frequency instead is it a modified ts10? or something
It wasn’t based on anything - just a fat sounding lower gain overdrive that can give rockier tones if you give it some welly!
I think Pete will now be able to fit two Danes on his board.
Please make a Mach 2 Scarlet Tunic with an option for much more gain, but not a boost, and maybe set all 3 switches to high and get rid of them. Please, please.

Idk if I'm not understanding, but the added HC seems to be working against the sound vs enhancing it. It kinda feels like they're searching for reasons to say it's better. I'm probably wrong. I need someone more knowledgeable to explain it to me.
Great sounding pedal but I can't justify the price. Maybe I"ll get lucky and find a used one for a good price next year!
