The crowd is just muted. Concerts do this all the time to preserve the music. It's the same thing they did with Squid Sisters. It's pretty easy to tell that the European concerts just want to make sure you hear the music over the crowds.
I like the ways in which they show that the Squid Sisters are a representation of Japanese idols and Off the Hook is a representation of western bands. For one thing, Squid Sisters' dancing is much more strict and in sync, whereas Pearl and Marina are flailing around the stage. On the other hand, even lyrically they represent their genres differently. Yes, Squid is gibberish to real people, but just picking apart the sounds, the Squid Sisters' lyrics sound closer to random Japanese sounds than OtH, which sounds like pseudo-English You can even hear the Squid Sisters saying 'kirakira' and 'merodi', and OtH has intelligible English words and phrases.
You guys are awesome! This is a higher quality 1080p 60fps version of the lower 720p 30fps version I posted earlier which is quite the difference. Anyways I love you guys so here it is! Enjoy! :D

I agree, but ONLY with Now Or Never. Marie wasn't the only one who couldn't hear the crowd for that song. But if you actually LOOK at the crowd during any of the other songs, you'll see they ARE excited. Just you can't hear them being excited. Also, Callie has the sweetest laugh.

Yeah some people complained that it didn't seem like they were excited but like in Now or Never whenever they were telling the crowd to be louder you could barely make them out over the soundboard. Like someone commented before I believe they had the feed hooked up to the soundboard for a better sound experience of the music.
Yeah other then that they weren't as enthusiastic as the crowd in Japan but I'm sure they were still excited nonetheless though I do have to say though watching the band get energetic and passionate playing their music while watching Off the Hook and the Squid Sisters was a real treat.
