- When planning out a quarter and new year plan as a real estate brokerage, there’s a few different elements to consider. We personally are looking at improving both our systems and production and have a few different ways we intend to tackle it. Our process for onboarding team leads & providing the training needed, on top of the core tenants that we provide.
Our referral process is the bread and butter of our model. We provide training so everyone is aware of all the tools that we have, and test out of our process so you can get into the field under our system. Our turnover points will vary depending on the type of agent they are. Everyone knows our process within our structure, but we want to make everything front and center and see where our processes can be made better.
What I personally work off of is one sheet so everything stays centralized. I have JMG related projects and tasks, along with bizdev projects with partnerships that I focus on. My list changes every single day based on priority and what needs to be added. I add in due dates and the responsible parties to this sheet and have to look at what comes in my phone when things come and see where it fits into my border plan for the day, if at all. What I hate is that I often lose ideas if I don’t write them down, so I make sure to add anything I’m thinking of to my list when something pops into my head.
My weakness has always been the organizational part of the business. I’m still not great at it, but I know that I have to write things down in order to remember doing something. Taks & projects are how I like to think and how I train those on my team to approach issues. When I was selling real estate, it was just about doing another deal after deal after deal. That was more just about organizing clients, not running a company. I wouldn't say one is harder than the other but they’re prioritized differently. When you’re working with clients, it’s all about prospecting and getting in front of every possible person you can.
I like working in our conference room because it allows me to work with the people who help us achieve what we want to accomplish. I don’t have an office because I don’t want to be all by myself. I like to talk and make sure everyone is on the same page on what our message is. Just because I have an idea doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. It’s about working together to see if it makes sense to roll something out. If you have a process like this, results will come.
