The location is an old power generation facility or some industrial site in Monterrey, Mexico that has become a museum. The masked extras forming the legion of their followers were all local fans of The Warning who volunteered to be in the music video. I think they have produced most of their music videos in Mexico. Rudy, their manager, has connections in the film industry. In his past, he worked on Hollywood feature films like Titanic. That's why the music videos tend to be high quality productions, and yet they are all done on a tight budget.
To the best of my knowledge, the only music videos produced outside of Mexico were for Animosity and Error.
also, the masks were required because they were still in the pandemic. Not only did the band produce a lot of great music during that time, they also put out some awesome videos.
DISCIPLE is still one of my 60 favorite THE WARNING songs.
The Warning song categories are favorite and most favorite as far as I'm concerned!

You hit the nail on the head. They are modern but they pull from so many different influences they are almost like a living love letter to classic 70s 80s and 90s rock, punk, metal, etc. Plays into a huge reason why their fan base is so diverse.
I've gotten tastes of everything from Sabbath to 90s skater punk from these three with some great ballads thrown in too

This is still my favorite music video from them! They put this together during the pandemic and got some local Warning fans to play the part of the 'disciples'. The whole thing was shot at the old Blast Furnace Museum in Monterrey, MX. When I first saw this, I was getting Pink Floyd vibes from their 'In the Flesh' official music video (from The Wall).😄 These girls consistently produce some of the best music videos I've ever seen! They've got that 80's and 90's MTV feel, with a modern twist. Too bad they weren't around in the hey days of MTV (you know, when they still actually played music videos?). They would have killed it for sure.😉👍👍

If you want see Dany in her rawest form check out Crimson Queen at Lunario. Check out Pau at Liceo de Monterrey doing Escape the mind, I think she's like 11 years old but you can see she's going to be a superstar. Both concerts kick ass.
Pau is her own worst critic...but really and truly...she can do no wrong!!! I'm sure all the nominees for the 2023 Drumeo Awards are great drummers...but Pau is a category all her own!!! another band starting that same trend and supported by twa is Freeze The Fall. their evolve cover got us to their channel and the originals got us supporting them. Quinn, 17 now, taught herself guitar from Queen Of The Murder Scene album by The Warning at 11.

I used to go see Naked Raygun in Minneapolis and Chicago in the 1980s, my wife called them the whoooa whoooah band because they had so many of their songs filled with these punk tropes. I loved those bands (they covered Stiff Little Fingers a couple times, just to give you an idea) I didn’t realize how much of that in Disciple reminds me of Naked Raygun. Coincidental, but still there. I couldn’t love this band more if they were my own nieces. See you tomorrow, don’t let our enthusiasm stress you out. 😅😅😅
I ran an alternative nightclub in Ft Wayne, IN in the late 80s. We scouted Naked Raygun in Chicago and they played our club a couple months later.

Have never heard a reactor make a No Doubt comparison! I like it. But it’s really evident they heard so much rock from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s that just works its way into their music naturally. They don’t intentionally do it. They incorporate all the current and modern music they listen to as well

Pau is the reason I really got into this band. I had seen shorts on TH-cam of Ale because I'm trying to learn bass (and I do like her quasi-Joan Jett look she's got going lately), but never really listened to a song by them until I saw a clip of Evolve from the VMAs on tiktok with Pau hyping up the crowd. Haven't stopped listening since.
If you think you have a crush on her now, please listen to "23" from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. You will absolutely fall for her from that song.

*Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know...
Dany (guitar) sings the part of the "leader"... Pau (drums) sings the part of a "follower", "disciple", or maybe "soldier"... basically they're speaking about how people take what they see on social media and believe it, whatever it is... in this way, certain groups out there control the narrative and what is happening... i believe this is a cynical song telling people to think for themselves and not believe everything they see or hear...
the OMV for *Disciple* was shot during the pandemic, all the extras in the video are IRL The Warning Army members... the wearing of the various masks works for the video as well as acknowledging the pandemic being a thing at the time of recording the video... there is the dichotomy of the masks, themselves... the "disciples/soldiers" wearing just cloth mouth and nose masks while the higher ranked overseers are wearing full face filter masks... and then we have DPA/TW playing the upper echelon, the untouchables, with no masks at all... this ranked depiction of status makes a huge statement about social media in addition to what is already being said in the song...
*XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three other original DPA/TW songs that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹

The obsession with social media influencers, and how the sheep will just follow to whatever the herder commands. So in context Day is the influencer at the start, and then in the second verse Pau becomes the sheep following the herder blindly echoing the influencers words. Swimming with the fish until they drowned is a very poignant statement. Literally following blindly until you get hurt or die (seen this over and over with these challenge videos over the years). I love the costume choice the girls have because it conveys a very authoritative dictatorship which social media has become. I love that bounce in the verses, it has such life and damn it's f'king brilliant!!!
Ale’s backup vocals are in there too! They are hard to hear because they are so low.

Such a great video and the message of the song is great. this is almost a part 2 to XXI Century Blood... and on that you need to do their 2017 Tedx Perfoormance of Survive OR watch the whole thing it is just 3 songs and they talk between and they arent that long and you will enjoy it.
