This is way back in around 1979, at that time there were few muslims in the UK. I think his boss must have been to muslim countries, that is why he was so accomodating and understanding. A lot of British nationals in the 1950's, 60's and before that, lived and or worked in the Gulf states, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen etc, etc.🕋
