- Auf dem Video sind drei sibirische Habichtsküken zu sehen. Greifvogelkücken wachsen extem schnell. Das kleinste Kücken ist genau eine Woche später geboren als das Älteste. Es ist auf dem Video zwei Tage alt. Die Kücken brauchen vier bis fünf Malzeiten am Tag. In den ersten Tagen brauchen sie leichtverdauliches Fleisch. Ganz wichtig ist, dass das Fleich auch kleine Knochen beinhaltet. Die Kücken brauchen schon am ersten Tag Calcium, dass auch im Speichel des Altvogels sitzt. Grundsätzlich ist es immer besser wenn der Altvogel die Kleinen füttert, nicht nur wegen dem Calcium sondern vor allem für das Immunsystem. Im Speichel sitzen Enzyme, die für die Darmflora des Kücken wichtig sind. Auch werden über den Speichel des Altvogels Erreger an das Kücken weitergegeben. Es ist fast mit einer Impfung zu vergleichen. Vergleichbar ist es auch mit Menschenkindern, die von der Mutter gestillt werden. Dem kleinen Kücken wird nur in den ersten Tagen von mir ein wenig geholfen, weil es sich gegen die älteren Kücken noch nicht durchsetzen kann.

Was hat der Altvogel mit seinem rechten Auge? Ist ja der Wahnsinn, das man während der Fütterung so nah dabei sein kann. ❤
Hallo Sylvia, der Habicht ist auf dem einem Auge blind. Er hatte sich im Alter von 7 Jahren eine Augenkrankheit zugezogen und dabei ist das eine Auge leider erblindet. Er kommt aber gut damit klar. Das man bei der Fütterung mit dabei sein kann, ist nicht gewöhnlich, zeugt auf ein großes Vertrauen. Liebe Grüße aus Ostfriesland von Andreas

The two larger ones are chirping away, practically getting ignored by the parent bird, just to get the occasional tiniest morsels of food. Meanwhile this little guy has worked out a side deal with the human and is getting gigantic pieces by comparison, luckily the two larger chicks haven’t noticed yet that the smaller one is getting a ton more food than they are. If the larger chicks were more observant they would see what was going on and realize the human is being way more generous when it comes to handing out food. 😂
Hello, thank you for your comment. In fact, humans are much more generous when it comes to feeding. The nestlings raised by the mother go through a tougher school. They can assert themselves better later in life - in freedom. Greetings from Andreas
