Txt and seventeen r live singers. Their choreographies are so hard but still they perform live and people think that they r lip syncing but actually they r not. They never disappoints. I hope that they both get more and more recognition.
I prefer out of breath and a little off-key live singing over any pre-recorded or lip-synced performance ANYDAY and I absolutely loved that the majority (if not all) of 2nd gen groups always sang live, I wish more 4th gen groups would do the same
Same. But the problem is that in some cases, even their "live performances" aren't even that live: it's autotuned so if you try to remove the MR, it's difficult to differentiate between the idol's real singing voice or the pre-recorded audio/autotune effect.

The biggest problem in my opinion is in how it is advertised. I don't think it would be as much of a problem if a concert was advertised as a show with the artist lip-singing, with the tickets being there basically to see the spectacle around it, do the meet and greet and the like.
It's when it's a 'live concert' and the singers are actively trying to lie to you that is the problem, in my opinion.
I preffer that artists lipsync when they're sick, even if they can sing well, but that's just because I get worried with anyone, even if I don't know them. It HURTS. I really can't listen to the singing without felling pain. The ideal is not to force your voice when you're sick, but they don't usually have the choice. They are DESTROYING their throats. I hate it.
TXT recently quite literally yelled into their mics after the lip-sync allegations for over 3 concerts and award ceremonies constantly
taehyun also said himself that they have never done lyp-syncing other than some bighit anniversary concert once

TXT are really good performers. The way sometimes it's difficult to tell if it's live cause they are so good. Like the time taehyun sang the part if opening Sequence and said that they try to sing like autotune.
A few months back while performing Case 143, Han started off his part in Japanese and partway through finished in Korean. Chan and Hyunjin’s reactions were priceless

I still remember Taehyun sang wrong lyrics at last part of MOA's Diary performance and the mic is really loud you know it's live. If I'm not wrong, it happened at Music Bank
The most iconic moment when Miyeon stole Minnie's Señorita lines and realized it later.
My favorite Mic On moment is Mamamoo's Solar audibly cursing when she slips on stage and twists her ankle during their Good Luck cover.
Once BP was performing boombayaah during debut era & music stopped during performance. So BP started singing boombayaah with crowd without music Proving their mics On.

@@STFUkpoopies I watched their Seoul day 1 concert live from VIP & I literally heard their vocals. All kpop idols use back tracks in their concerts. Yeah they skipped some lyrics but they didn't lipsync. Using back tracks & lip sync are whole different things.
& Yeah I admit they made some mistakes but judging BP 18 concerts because of few seconds video is literally so childish. Ig you should watch their recent concerts like they're slaying 😊💖

@@hani28304 backtracks are like makeup, it covers all the imperfections, or basically everything when it is really loud. I remember Jennie singing off pitch for the whole verse in whistle in their online concert (she basically can't went that low, at least at that moment) but it doesn't sound very wrong with the backtrack. Same for G-idle's miyeon, having a big voice crack when she was having her solo promotion, it is still noticeable but the backtrack made it a lot better

Mamamoo are the queens of live singing! Also, let's not forget about SKZ! They always sing live. Remember that iconic, "Freezing cold but I know we're singing live!" or Changbin rapping faster than the original track during some live performances, The Kids shouting eachother's names to hype them up up before they sing /rap their part, them (especially Han) adding extra ad-libs and "HEY!, HA!, YO!" etc during their performances and concerts!

There also a moment when Han messed up the lyrics. In case 143 he accidentally sing the Japanese lyrics at the beginning then quickly change to the original korean lyrics.

Having their mics on don’t always mean they’re singing live. Also, 4th Gen should be the one that had more groups lip syncing than any previous generation. And it’s sad some are forced to despite actually being able to perform live. Only a handful of 4th Gen groups sing live CONSISTENTLY while there are stages that can’t be helped such as prerecorded ones, it’s good to note there’s still some groups in 4th Gen that stay true to singing live and not just focusing on the performance.

They always have live mics but they also always have a backing track, for if they get tired or are sick from traveling too much they can just lip sync. I think it is pretty clear when they sing live or not.
All of these groups shown are literally the gods of K-pop groups. Yuri will for ever crack me up Mamamoo is crazyyyyyy the spun to their positions and Hwasa didn't even flintch. Seulgi is a PRO

@@littlehuman3678 He was experiencing sound feedback issues in his earphones 😢 idk if you're a singer/musician but if not I can tell you that without feedback+ the conditions he had at this moment (a little anxiety because it was a reward, and they play the music by surprise), all of this destabilized him and he tried his best but it's SUPER hard to sing well even for the best singers 😅

i went to the monsta x london concert a few years ago, and there was a point in the performance when all of the audience sang the wrong lyrics, and the members laughed at us through their mics. it was so funny, and proved they were singing live too. they were incredible singers and i was completely blown away!

One thing about HYBE, that it makes sure that their artists sing live at least most of the time. Also, I m not saying that, hybe artists never lip sync but it's less likely.
Le sserafim lipsync almost always only Yunjin and Chaewon(rarely Sakura) sing live some parts(I am their fan, idk about other hybe groups)

Kpop stans wanted perfect live performances, they terrified idols with the promise of trashing them and bullying them over the tiniest mistake while singing live and now that lipsync has becoming the norm they cry and shit themselves. i remember how many times they dragged Twice through the mud for making mistake during encores, how Momo literally cried on stage more than once. they wanted studio recording level of perfection and now they can't take it.
it is one of the things that really annoys me about the modern kpop standard. i like to hear the variance in live vocal performances. mistakes inclulded, because even they give that specific performance its own character and potential replayability depending on how the artist plays it off.

I think Hybe, Jype and YG always allow their idols to sing live. SM is the only company in the big 3 that are forcing their idols to lipsync, they even force Taeyeon to lipsync. They have the best vocalists in the industry but yet don't allow to sing live 😩

txt debut on the show footage. when the stage caved in, Beomgyu voice was diff from the other shows since he bent down his head to see the floor 2. but ppl think that he slipped by himself. however his vocals still fine, he handled its too good to be just a rookie. I cant understand y some ppl keep saying that he cant sing (but some even say that txt cant sing, tbh very disappointed but not surprised)
they also have stage practice (sing, dance, with outfits) that y some ppl think it wasn't live. theyre too good even those choreography that they cant believe
I was expecting way more Mamamoo since they've had so many audio incidents/funny moments on stage and always prove they're singing live. AKMU's sibling moment was iconic as well where they fought over the microphone haha

Having mics on doesn't mean its live though. Often idols may have their mics on, then sing about 20% performance live, or only certain members will be live.
another classic mamamoo exapmle was on queendom when they were doing good luck. at one point(right after the group all comes together) solar slips and almost falls and makes an audible "nyaaagn" but then because of course she is a professional she instantly regains posture and makes it so that if you arent watching for that moment you can completely miss it.

Especially 3rd gen and prior had no issues with live performances. Even groups with little success such as Stellar showed that they were and could sing live when their backing track failed on them in the middle of a song.
Where as nowadays, there are enough groups where most of the members can barely be made to seem passable in studio let alone on stage.
