The revenge of Gaia against Zeus and the Olympians. Typhon was a creature of immense power, born of the primordials to defeat the king of the Heavens. The last blow of the Titanomachy, the last attempt by Gaia to wrestle control of reality form her gransdon, Zeus.
    A battle like no other.
Living Mythology is an attempt to entertain, relax and educate all in the one place. We are trying to forge narratives so that people can experience the religions and mythologies of the world as they were meant to be. Not as dry academic monoliths, but as living breathing tales and parables as experienced by the peoples who worshipped these beings, in an attempt to make sense of their own lives and the world around them.
This channel is in its infancy, so we hope to improve and develop it as we gain more experience.
All of the tales are taken from very conflicting traditions across many centuries, so there will be many a moment when decisions need to be made to create a more cohesive narrative. If we present something that seems to be in contrast to details, rest assured we have researched many forms of the traditions and come to the conclusions we have done to form the videos.
There will NEVER be total agreement on any of these narratives due to the history and differing ways they developed over the centuries.
These videos are for entertainment and an easy gateway to the subject. If you wish more academic details then please direct your attention to the wide source material and others who perform those types of academic video essays.

Lady Lightbringer, Sir Baldermort, your ability to make me hate the gods in one moment and empathize with them in another is simply astounding! You are, both of you, masterful orators and storytellers. Every story is a genuine piece of art, and you should be proud of yourselves. If this be the end of stories for the Greek pantheon, this is a wonderful conclusion to your works. If I may, I would love to hear tales from Ancient Sumeria, the first and oldest cradle of civilization. No matter how you decide to move forward, I will be here to support you in all of your future endeavors.

It is difficult to properly say how incredible these videos are.
I have taken to the point of listening to one everyday when I work out or do chores around the house and they are amazing. I was really sick in the last year and nearly died and I will tell you you have helped me in my recovery. The voice work, the fleshing out of these sometimes one dimensional gods and goddesses and beings of myth. Adding details and background and history to the battles that we've heard about only on the surface. Absolutely amazing, absolutely transporting! I have listened to your entire library of Greek mythology probably three times now. Highest praise! And sincerest thanks for everything you do and continue to do

I like this version of Zeus, he is by no means good, not by our standards, buy he is absolutely understandable in his motives. He generally keeps everyone happy and things in order, he is no saviour of the world, but that makes sense for a ancient pagan god.

Among the Romans, Zeus is sometimes called Jove from which we get the word jovial - cheerful, good-humored, and full of high spirits. This is how I see Zeus. Yes, he has his darker moments, but there are also blue skies.

In the version, I was told since Typhon was defeated his first born, the three headed wolf Cerberus, was meant to free him and devour the gods, which is an interesting concept. Also while Tartarus while a primordial much like Gaia has immense power, he never wanted conflict and simply was one of the few impartial judges and the one who could imprison one and all who've broken laws. Apart from that, this version was beautiful, both you LB and Baldy are as always impecable in your preformances.

You take storytelling to a whole other level, I'm always incredibly impressed with how you get everything from the adventure to bringing out different sides of the characters that we haven't seen before, you always manage to make a masterpiece with your videos. from start to finish everything was 10/10 keep up the great work amigos! Wow, you guys really do awesome work!!! I never saw something like this before, it's amazing!
The only thing that would make your videos even greater were citing the sources for the narratives you present here, which versions of the myth you're presenting in which part - but I quess that would be quite complicated because there are so many different strands.
I'd love to see you reenacting some myths from the Srimad Bhagavatam or even the Mahabharata, you're storytelling really is worthy of their greatness!
